NEW YORK, NY — April 16, 2020 – Sprinklr, the Modern Customer & Citizen Experience Management (CXM) Platform, today announced it is helping the World Health Organization (WHO) deliver accurate information on COVID-19 by making the WHO Health Alert interactive service available on Messenger from Facebook. As a result, WHO will be able to quickly scale the WHO Health Alert service, making information on COVID-19 available while combating misinformation. The WHO’s Health Alert interactive service can now be accessed in English, French, Spanish, and Arabic through WHO’s official Facebook page by selecting “Send Message” or through the dedicated Messenger link.
Sprinklr’s integration with Messenger gives WHO a platform to manage millions of interactions. With Sprinklr’s support, WHO was able to quickly deploy the WHO Health Alert on Messenger. This AI-powered bot makes it possible for users to ask questions and instantly get information about COVID-19.
In many of the regions hit hardest by COVID-19, total messaging through Facebook’s family of apps has increased by more than 50% and the WHO Health Alert service has already reached 12+ million people via WhatsApp. With this transition into Facebook’s Messenger, WHO Health Alert has the potential to reach 4.2 billion people – helping people protect themselves from COVID-19, prevent its spread, and understand the facts related to the disease.
There are also plans to launch this service over Google Business Messaging, Apple Business Chat, and Line (and others to ensure global reach) with new features to be added soon.
The WHO Health Alert service bot is a feature of Sprinklr's new Citizen Experience Management Platform. Sprinklr Citizen Experience Management is helping organizations make informed decisions, combat misinformation, and ensure that citizens get the facts they need. “We’re so pleased that Sprinklr has partnered with the WHO to create this important activation on Messenger,” said Stan Chudnovsky, VP of Messenger. “Delivering accurate information reliably to people during this time is critical, and we’re grateful that Sprinklr has joined our efforts to provide services to important health organizations like the WHO.”
