Integrate Proofpoint (NexGate) with Sprinklr

The Sprinklr and Proofpoint (NexGate) integration enables organizations to add compliance validation to their content review and approval process. With this integration, content created in Sprinklr can be evaluated against an organization's established compliance policies before it moves forward in the publishing workflow.
Proofpoint (NexGate) is a compliance and disposition platform that evaluates content against policies configured by an organization. When integrated with Sprinklr, Proofpoint reviews submitted content and returns an approval or rejection decision, which is then used as part of the Sprinklr approval process.
Note: Access to this feature is controlled by the following dynamic properties (DPs):

Prerequisites
To install and configure the Proofpoint app from the Sprinklr Marketplace, the user must have the following permissions:

Generate Proofpoint API Credentials
Before configuring the integration, generate an access key in Proofpoint.
In Proofpoint, click the Settings (⚙) icon in the upper-right corner.

Select External Applications.

Click Create New Key.

Copy the generated Email and Access Key.

Note: The generated access key expires after 1 hour. Ensure that you complete the Sprinklr configuration before the key expires.
Install the Proofpoint App from Sprinklr Marketplace
Before you can use Proofpoint in approval workflows, install and configure the Proofpoint app in Sprinklr. The app establishes the connection between Sprinklr and Proofpoint and allows content created in Sprinklr to be evaluated against the compliance policies configured in Proofpoint.
To install the Proofpoint app, follow these steps:
Click the New Page (+) icon to open the Launchpad.
Under Platform Modules > Integrate, click All Marketplace.

In Sprinklr Marketplace, search for Proofpoint. On the Proofpoint application card, click Install.

Enter a name and description for the app, and then click Next.

Click Add User.

On the Proofpoint (NexGate) Authorization screen, enter your Proofpoint email address and the generated access key. Click Submit Token.

After the authorization is successful, the authorization window closes automatically.
Return to Sprinklr to view the connector configuration page.
The app is now installed. The Proofpoint application configuration screen is displayed, where you can view the installed app details and access the following sections:

Configure a Tiered Approval Workflow
After installing and configuring the Proofpoint app, create a tiered approval workflow and add Proofpoint as an approval step. For general information about tiered approvals, see Create a Tiered Approval.
When Proofpoint is included in a tiered approval workflow, it evaluates content created in Sprinklr against the compliance policies configured in Proofpoint. Based on the evaluation results, Proofpoint returns an Approve or Reject decision, which is then used as part of the overall approval process.
To configure a tiered approval workflow
Open All Settings.
Navigate to General Settings > Tiered Approvals.
Create a new tiered approval workflow.
Enter the required basic information.
In the Approval Steps section, configure the approval flow:
For Approval Type, select Application.
For Approver, select Proofpoint.

(Optional) To add another review stage, click Add Another Approver and configure the required approval queue or approver.
Click Save to save the tiered approval workflow.
Use the Proofpoint Integration
In Sprinklr, click the Quick Publish icon at the top-right corner.
Click Create Post.
From the Select Accounts dropdown, select the account associated with Proofpoint.
In the Approval section, select Follows an Approval Path from the Approval Type dropdown.
From the Approval Path dropdown, select the tiered approval workflow that includes Proofpoint.
Click Submit for Approval.
Proofpoint evaluates the post against the configured content compliance policies as part of the approval workflow. Based on the evaluation results, the post is either approved or rejected.
View Approval Status
If the post is approved, the approval status is displayed on the post.

View Posts in Proofpoint
To view posts that have been submitted to Proofpoint:
Open the Proofpoint (NexGate) application.
Navigate to Content/Incidents.
The Content/Incidents page displays posts that have been submitted to Proofpoint for compliance review.
