Date and Time Component in Sprinklr
Updated
The Date and Time component helps you select or enter dates and times across Sprinklr—for example, when setting due dates, scheduling content, or filtering data.
Sprinklr provides two ways to work with dates:
- Date Picker – select a date using a calendar
- Date Input – type a date manually, with the option to open a calendar
This article explains the difference between these options and how to use each effectively.
You may encounter date and time fields in multiple areas of Sprinklr, such as:
- Task management (for due dates)
- Editorial calendar (for scheduling)
- Filters and reports
Understanding how each input type works helps you quickly set or update dates without confusion.
Date Picker versus Date Input
Feature | Date Picker | Date Input |
Interaction | Click anywhere to open calendar | Type date directly |
Calendar access | Opens automatically on click | Opens via calendar icon or arrow button |
Manual typing | Not supported | Supported |
Best for | Quick selection from calendar | Precise/manual entry |
Key Difference
Date Picker is selection-based
Date Input is entry-based (with optional selection)
How the Selection Experience Works
In Date Picker
- Clicking anywhere opens the calendar
- You must select the date from the calendar
In Date Input
Enter Date Manually: Clicking inside the field enables typing. Type the desired date using your keyboard. Press Enter or click outside the field.
Use the Calendar: Clicking the calendar icon opens the calendar. Select a date (and time if applicable).
You can switch between typing and selecting.
Summary
- This update applies across Sprinklr wherever date fields are used.
- You may see either Date Picker or Date Input depending on the use case.
- Both options support date and time where applicable.
