Create and Assign Global Task Queues

Updated

Global Queues are used in the Workflow Engine to assign a task to a Task Queue. Assigning the task to a Task Queue lets anyone within the queue to pick up the task depending on their current bandwidth.

Create a Global Task Queue

  1. Click Launchpad or New Tab Space Add New Tab Icon. Under Platform Modules, select All Settings within Settings.
  2. From the left pane, expand General Settings and then select Queues. You can also search for Queues in the search bar.

  3. Click Add Queue in the upper right corner.

  4. Enter the Name of the Global Queue. The name of the Queue should mirror all of the Dynamic User Groups. Select Task as the Queue Type. Optionally add a Description.

For the purpose of demonstration, this Global Queue will be the WF: Analyst Queue for all of the users within the Analyst User Group.
