Generate and Select Video Thumbnails

Updated

When you create a video ad, Sprinklr automatically displays a thumbnail from the uploaded video. You can keep the generated thumbnail, select one of the evenly spaced frames extracted from the video, capture a frame manually, or upload a custom thumbnail. The video and thumbnail fields remain synchronized when you change either asset.

This capability is available in the following components:

  • Creative Library

  • Ads Composer

  • Ads Manager

Select a thumbnail from the video

  1. Open the required video creative workflow.

  2. Upload the video in the Video field. Sprinklr automatically populates a thumbnail from the uploaded video. You do not need to upload a separate thumbnail image.

  3. Click Replace Thumbnail on the uploaded video. The Media Uploader opens on the From Video tab and displays the Prominent Frames section.

  4. Review the extracted frames. Sprinklr displays 10 evenly spaced frames extracted from the uploaded video.

  5. Select the frame that you want to use. A selection indicator appears on the chosen frame.

  6. Click Use this frame. Sprinklr applies the selected frame to the Thumbnail Image field. The video and thumbnail fields stay synchronized, so the chosen frame also appears with the video creative.

  7. Verify that the selected image appears in the Thumbnail Image field.

  8. Complete the remaining creative details and save or proceed with the ad workflow.

Capture a frame manually

Use this option when none of the automatically extracted frames is suitable.

  1. Click Replace Thumbnail on the uploaded video.

  2. Select Capture Manually under Prominent Frames.

  3. Use the video controls to move to the frame that you want to use. The manual capture view displays the uploaded video and prompts you to select a frame for the thumbnail.

  4. Click Use this frame.

  5. Verify that the captured frame appears in the Thumbnail Image field.
