Add Disclaimers for Distributed Post Assets
Updated
Overview
Admins can now add instructions to post assets to provide guidance or important information that Distributed users should review before publishing. Instructions can be configured as either mandatory or optional, depending on whether users must acknowledge them before proceeding.
Note:
This feature is available only for Distributed Partners (DPs).
It is not supported in Space Quick Publisher (QP) or Full-Screen Publisher (FSP).
Access to this feature is controlled by a Distributed dynamic property (DP) - DISTRIBUTED_ENABLED, SPR_DST_ENABLED. To enable this feature in your environment, reach out to your Success Manager. Alternatively, you can submit a request at tickets@sprinklr.com.
Add Instructions to a Post Asset
When creating or editing a post asset:
- Navigate to the Overview section.
Enter the required message in the Instruction field located below the Description field.
- Maximum length: 1000 characters
- Emojis are supported.
- (Optional) Enable the Confirmation Mandatory for User to Proceed checkbox.
Help Text
Enter the instruction that you would like your users to confirm while publishing.
Note:
The Instruction field is optional.
The instruction message and Confirm button are displayed to Distributed users only if the Instruction field contains a value.
Make Confirmation Mandatory
The Confirmation Mandatory for User to Proceed option determines whether users must acknowledge the instruction before publishing.
Default: Enabled
Tooltip: Checking this makes it mandatory for users to confirm the instruction to proceed with publishing or saving this asset as draft.
This option supports two scenarios:
- Mandatory confirmation – Use when users must acknowledge the instruction before publishing.
- Optional confirmation – Use when the instruction is informational and acknowledgement is not required.
Publishing Experience
When a Distributed user opens the post in Quick Publisher, the admin's instruction is displayed at the top of the left pane along with a Confirm button.
Mandatory Confirmation Enabled
If Confirmation Mandatory for User to Proceed is selected:
Clicking Confirm
- The Confirm button disappears.
- The instruction remains visible.
- The user can continue publishing or save the post as a draft.

Skipping Confirm
- The user cannot publish or save the post.
The following validation message is displayed:
Please click on Confirm to continue.
- The page automatically scrolls to the instruction message if no higher-priority validation errors exist.
Mandatory Confirmation Disabled
If the checkbox is cleared:
Clicking Confirm
- The Confirm button disappears.
- The instruction remains visible.
- The user can continue normally.
Skipping Confirm
- No validation is displayed.
- The user can publish or save the post without acknowledging the instruction.
Session Behavior
Each time a user opens the post in Distributed Quick Publisher, a new publishing session begins. The Confirm button is displayed again, regardless of whether it was clicked in a previous session.
Configure Default Instructions Using DAM Rules
Admins can configure default instruction values through:
- DAM
- DAM Autofill
- DAM Update Rules
If both a rule-generated instruction and a manually entered instruction exist, the manually entered instruction takes precedence.
