Select or Unselect All Pages in a Multi-Photo Dynamic Image Template
Updated
Overview
When publishing a Multi-photo Dynamic Image Template (DIT), users were required to manually select all pages after creating the images. Although the DIT contained multiple pages, only the first page is selected by default, adding unnecessary effort and increasing the risk of publishing an incomplete carousel/multi-page image.
Select or Unselect All Pages in a Multi-Photo DIT
Earlier, when a Multi-photo DIT was created in Publisher, the system prompted the user to select pages manually as only first page was selected by default even for multi-photo DIT.
But now, we have made an enhancement in DIT where all images in the multi-photo DIT are selected by default. Other than that, you also get an option to Unselect all or select/unselect specific images if needed.
Multi Photo DIT
- A Content Admin creates a Multi-photo DIT from the DAM by adding multiple pages, creating a Carousel DIT.
- In Publisher, the user selects the DIT, completes the dynamic fields, and clicks Save.
- All pages in a Carousel DIT are selected by default when the Save Image modal opens.
The help text under Save Image reads: "This template contains multiple canvases which are all selected. Please unselect any canvas to remove it as needed."

- The selected page count displayed at the bottom left will be removed and replaced with an Unselect All button.
The Unselect All button will:
- Deselect all pages on click
- Change to Select All when no pages are selected
- Allow reselecting all pages in one action
If the user clicks Confirm without selecting any canvases, the following validation message will be shown: "Please select at least one canvas to create the image."

- After clicking Confirm, the user will be automatically redirected back to Publisher.
- All selected canvases will be added to Publisher as a multi-photo post in the same order as the Carousel DIT.
- Click Post to publish, or select Schedule Post or Publish Another depending on your requirement.
Variant-Based Multi-Photo DIT
- A Content Admin creates a Multi-photo DIT from the DAM by adding multiple pages, creating variants of a single creative concept.
- In Publisher, the user selects the DIT, completes the dynamic fields, and clicks Save.
- All pages in a Variant-based Multi-photo DIT are selected by default when the Save Image modal opens.
- The help text under Save Image reads: "This template contains multiple canvases which are all selected. Please unselect any canvas to remove it as needed."
- The selected page count displayed at the bottom left will be removed and replaced with an Unselect All button.
- The Unselect All button will: Deselect all pages on click and change to Select All when no pages are selected. Allow reselecting all pages in one action.
- If the user clicks Confirm without selecting any canvases, the following validation message will be shown: "Please select at least one canvas to create the image."
- After clicking Confirm, the user will be automatically redirected back to Publisher.
- All selected canvases will be added to Publisher as a multi-photo post in the same order as the variant-based DIT.
- Click Post to publish, or select Schedule Post or Publish Another depending on your requirement.
