Understanding Permissions for Automated Campaigns in Sprinklr Ads
Updated
Overview
Automated Campaigns (AC) in Sprinklr streamline the process of creating, managing, and optimizing ads at scale by linking campaigns with feeds, dynamic templates, and approval workflows. To ensure the right level of access and control, Sprinklr provides a set of permissions that define what different users can view, create, edit, approve, or sync within Automated Campaigns.
This article explains the meaning of each permission across Automated Campaigns, Automated Ads, Feeds, and Creative Templates. Understanding these permissions will help you assign the right roles to your teams, whether they are managing campaign setup, approving creatives, or maintaining feeds and templates, so that campaigns run smoothly with proper governance.
1. Automated Campaign Permissions
These permissions control access to AC shells (the structural setup for automation).
View → See all existing AC shells and their linked entities.
Create → Set up a new AC shell, define feed mappings, and configure campaigns for objectives/placements.
Edit → Modify an existing AC shell (feed mappings, field values, selected media templates in Ads).
Delete → Remove an AC shell (does not delete already published ads).
Sync → Push feed updates into existing AC shells so new rows/changes in the feed reflect in ads.
2. Automated Campaigns' Approvals Permissions
These permissions apply to ads generated from AC shells.
Automated Ads View Shell Approval → View the approval status, comments and activity for any shell sent into appoval
Automated Ads Shell Approval → Approve or reject shell-level setups before feed sync creates ads, add comments, see approval activity.
Automated Ads View Creatives Approval → View the approval status, comments and activity for all the creatives which are sent to Ad Variant approval with their variations
Automated Ads Creatives Approval → Approve or reject ad creatives/variations before they are published or if any change is made.
3. Automated Feed Permissions
These permissions govern feeds that power dynamic campaigns.
View → See automated feeds linked to ACs with their previews
Create → Build a new feed (manual upload, Excel sheet, Smartsheets or using CSV URL import).
Edit → Edit the feed source used in the feed import process.
Sync → Push feed updates into media templates, existing AC shells so new rows/changes in the feed reflect in ads.
Delete → Remove an automated feed.
Edit Dynamic Image Template → Apply/Modify applied media templates on the Automated feeds for creative automation
Manually Upload Media → Upload media directly to replace assets generated through media templates, typically for one-off campaigns or as fallback creatives.
