Gauge Chart

Updated

The Gauge Chart widget enables you to visually represent average or aggregated survey metrics in relation to custom ranges. It provides a quick and easy way to monitor key performance indicators (such as CSAT, ratings, or response metrics) through the use of easily understandable colored sections.

Business Problems Solved

  • Provide a straightforward and easily digestible visual depiction of the key survey statistics.

  • Assist in defining performance levels (e.g., from "Very Dissatisfied" to "Very Satisfied").

  • Use configurable ranges instead of manual thresholding.

The system provides an intuitive single‑metric visualization that makes performance tracking simple and clear. It supports user‑defined ranges and colors, allowing flexible customization to match reporting needs. In addition, customizable thresholds align with business KPIs, ensuring that metrics are not only visually engaging but also directly tied to organizational goals.

Metric Selection

  • You can choose any survey or response metric you want, as long as it's supported.

  • Each gauge can only show one metric at a time.

Range Configuration

  • The Gauge Chart widget allows users to configure ranges that segment the metric values into meaningful buckets (e.g., Very Dissatisfied to Very Satisfied).

Default Behavior

  • The Min and Max values are automatically set based on the selected metric’s scale.

    • Example: CSAT rating (0–5), NPS (0–10), Slider (0–100).

  • If Response Metrics are used, Min and Max must be defined manually.

  • A default gauge with evenly distributed ranges is displayed if no custom range is configured.

Custom Range

  • You can enable Custom Range to define their own segments.

  • By default, the scale points entered are for the survey questions are used to created ranges.

    • For ex if CSAT is configured like this:

    • The ranges that would be populated by default for CSAT measurement are:

  • It's necessary to define a global minimum and maximum value.

  • Every range needs a minimum value, a maximum value, and a label.

  • Ranges should be adjacent and not have any overlap.

  • Each range can be assigned a specific color.

  • Labels are customizable; for example, you could use "Very Dissatisfied, Dissatisfied, Neutral, Satisfied, Very Satisfied."
