Overview

Supported file formats vary depending on where the content is uploaded and the destination channel.

Suggest Content / UGC Editor (Advocate-facing)

• Videos: .mp4, .mov, .webm

• Images: .jpeg, .jpg, .png, .gif

• Not supported: Standalone audio and document files cannot be uploaded through this editor.

Site Content Publisher (Admin / Content Management)

• Videos: .mp4, .mov, .webm, .avi, .wmv, .flv, .mkv, .3gp, and other supported formats

• Images: .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .gif, .tiff, .bmp, .avif, .heic

• Documents (where applicable, such as LinkedIn / Site): .pdf, .doc, .docx, .ppt, .pptx, .srt (captions)

Channel-Specific Restrictions

Uploading a file successfully through the publisher does not necessarily mean it can be published to every social channel. Channels such as LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Threads, and TikTok have their own requirements and restrictions regarding supported media formats.

Audio File Support

Standalone audio files, including formats such as .amr, .mp3, and .aac, are not supported for direct upload on the Advocacy site.

Audio is supported only when it is embedded within a supported video file. For example, as an AAC or MP3 audio track within an .mp4 or .mov video.

If you need to share an audio file, you can either:

• Convert the audio into a video with a visual background or slide, or

• Share the audio using a link to an external hosting or streaming platform.
