Create New Records Using Record Forms

This article outlines the steps to create new records using the Record Form using an example:

  1. Go to the Record Manager from the left pane of the Entity and click on the Edit icon next to the already created Record Manager.


  2. Click on the Actions tab from the left pane of the entity. Provide the button name as “Create Record”, Action Type is chosen as “Open Form”. Under the Settings icon, choose the newly created Record form you have recently created. 


  3. Click on the Save icon once the Record form is chosen from the dropdown. Enable Open Entity Detail Page on Save if you want the created record’s detail page to open automatically after saving.

     

     

  4. Navigate to the Persona App where this entity record manager is added and click on Create Record in the top right corner. 

For example, you can see that the Product Stage field in the Record Form is not visible since the criteria is added in the Visibility Settings which is documented in the Creating and Configuring a Record Form article. The criteria is if the Product List = Insights, then only the budget field will be visible. 


Suppose the Product List field is input as “Insights”, the Product Stage field will be visible in the record form.
