Configure Rules to Merge and Remove Custom Fields

Overview
You can now automate the Message Property Action for multi-select message option fields, to Merge and Remove, along with Set and Unset.
Note: This is applicable to Custom Field, Profile, Messages, Outbound, and Case multi-select options across Partner or Client environment levels. |
Set Message Property Action for Multi-select fields
- Click the New Tab icon. Under the Platform Modules, click Rule Engine within Collaborate > Automate your workflows.
- In the top right corner of the Rule Engine window, click Create New Rule.
- Create a New Rule, or select a Rule that you want to edit. All following instructions will be stated as creating a new Rule but can also be followed for editing an existing Rule.
- After adding Condition, click Action in the Rule logic tree.
- Go to the Message Property Action field and select a Multi-selection Custom Field.
- Select Message Property Action.
Message Property Actions
Set | Overriding any previous selections for the specific field. |
Unset | Property of the message will be unset. |
Merge | Applies values in addition to other values for the specific field. |
Remove | Remove the specified values for the specific field. |
