Decision Tables in Sprinklr
Updated
Overview
Decision Tables provide a structured and scalable way to define and manage complex business logic in Sprinklr. Instead of relying on deeply nested IF–ELSE conditions across workflows, Decision Tables allow you to centralize logic in a tabular format that is reusable, easier to maintain, and simpler to test.
Decision Tables are built on Entities (System or Custom) and can be seamlessly consumed within process‑engine workflows such as Guided Workflows, Interactive Voice Response (IVR), After‑Call Work (ACW), Conversational AI, and Journey Facilitator (JF).

Who Should Use This Feature
This feature is intended for:
Admins and Logic Designers who define reusable business rules
Business Analysts who manage large sets of conditions using spreadsheets
Workflow Authors who want to dynamically drive actions such as IVR selection, queue assignment, or field updates without complex branching logic
Why Use Decision Tables
Traditional rule and process engines often rely on multiple nested decision nodes that are:
Hard to scale and maintain
Time‑consuming to debug
Error‑prone due to duplicated logic
Difficult to update consistently across workflows
Decision Tables solve these challenges by storing logic in one place and allowing workflows to evaluate and consume results dynamically.
Key Capabilities
Decision Tables support the following capabilities:
Logic Definition
Define input conditions using fields from one or more Entities
Conditions work in 'AND' logic across Condition Columns
Empty Condition Rows are simply ignored in the Conditional Logic
Apply condition operators such as:
Equals or Not Equals
Greater than or Less than
Contains, Starts with, Ends with
Support for String, Number, Boolean, Date/Time, and Picklist fields
Result Configuration
Define one or more result fields per logic row
Configure default results when no conditions match
Use result values to drive workflow actions (for example, IVR selection or queue assignment)
Table Management
Add, reorder, duplicate, or delete logic rows
Drag and drop rows to control evaluation order
Evaluation always occurs top‑to‑bottom based on row order
Draft and Publishing
Create and edit Decision Tables in Draft status
Publish tables to make them available for workflows
Prevent unfinished logic from being consumed prematurely
Bulk Import and Export
Download an Excel template reflecting the table structure
Add or update logic rows in bulk
Import the file and review a summary of created or updated rows
