Loading Indicator within Display and Presentations

The loading indicator shows whether the data is still being loaded, no data available, or an error condition that keeps the widget from loading. This will be shown at both the panel and storyboard level. For more information, see Loading Indicator — Field Descriptions.

Note

On larger storyboards with many widgets, it can take some time to fully load the data.

Loading Indicator — Field Descriptions

Indicator Indicator View Description
Loading Display_Loading.png This indicator depicts the queries to pull in the data are still executing. For large limit or date range queries, this can take a substantial amount of time.
No Data Display_NoData.png This indicator depicts that the queries to load data into the widget have completed, but there were no results in those queries. Trying to expand the date range, checking the filters applied, and checking what engine is used (such as what topics for the Listening Engine, or what accounts for the Social Analytics Engine) is a good next step here to try to get data.
Error Display_Error.png This means there is some sort of error that is keeping the widget from properly rendering. The most common cause of this is incomplete data in the data tab, but there could be some other gap in how the data is coming in that keeps the widget from rendering. One common error message “Request Failed with status code 500” often means that there are missing items that need to be configured in the data tab, this causes the query to get data to fail.
