Display Remote - An Overview

The Remote tab in Display allows you to monitor and control Displays in real time without needing direct access to the display URL.

The Display Remote provides a simplified interface that allows you a view of all your current Displays and their status. Here, you can quickly and easily turn Displays on and off. Below, we'll explore how to access the Display Remote and understand the Remote layout.

The Sprinklr Display Remote is accessible by your mobile device as well as your desktop browser.

Navigate to Display Remote Tab

Navigate to the Display Remote by clicking the Remote Tab at the top of your Display environment.

UI Elements

Description

Displays

Displays are listed with Display name, and Display location (if applicable). To see all Storyboards associated with the Display, click on the Display Row. The Display you are viewing will be indicated with the downwards arrow.

Storyboards

Storyboards are nested underneath the associated Display and are visible when you click on a Display name. Storyboards are assigned to Displays from the Display Details Pane from the Displays Tab. 

Enable/Disable Toggle

The Storyboard that is enabled will be highlighted in blue and will have the Enable/Disable toggled to On. All Storyboards that are disabled will not be highlighted and will have the Enabled/Disable toggled to Off.

UI Capabilities of the Remote Tab

​The following are some of the UI capabilities of the Remote Tab:

UI Capability

Description

View Mode

Toggle between List View and Grid View to choose how remote items are displayed. Grid View shows each remote item as a tile with a live thumbnail of its assigned storyboard; List View shows items as line items with their screen, name, and location columns.

Search

Click the Search icon to search for a specific remote item by name.

Sort By

Sort remote items by Date Modified, Created Time, or Name.

Sort Order

Toggle between Ascending and Descending order for the selected sort field. For Name, ascending sorts A–Z and descending sorts Z–A. For Date Modified and Created Time, ascending sorts oldest to newest and descending sorts newest to oldest.

Note: The default sort behavior on the Remote tab is Date Modified – Descending, matching the behavior on the Storyboards and Display tabs.
