Enabling On-Screen Remote While Disabling Keyboard Control Access
Updated
This article outlines key updates and settings in the Display interface, focusing on improved user access, session security, and a new feature to prevent accidental scene navigation when paused.
New Option: Prevent Keyboard Navigation When Paused
Background
Previously, if a user paused playback using the remote and accidentally pressed the Right Arrow key, it would skip to the next scene. This led to unintentional navigation.
The Enhancement
A setting has been added to disable keyboard navigation during pause.
How to Enable the New Setting
Go to Settings > Keyboard Controls
Select the checkbox option: Prevent keyboard navigation when paused
When enabled, pressing navigation keys (like Right/Left) during a paused state will no longer affect scene changes.
Improved Device Login Experience
The device login process has been simplified to make it easier and more secure for users to connect to their display screens.
Prerequisite
Ensure Login Required is enabled:
Navigate to Settings > Security Settings
Check the box for Login Required
When enabled, only authenticated users (users with the specific user credentials) will be able to access the Display screen.
Steps to Connect a Device
On your browser, go to display.sprinklr.com/connect.
A code in capital letters will appear.
Visit your Display screen (display.sprinklr.com) and navigate to Settings > Distributed Device > Connect Device
Paste the copied code into the input field.
Click Confirm.
The session will be authenticated and access granted to the selected user.
