Version History for Briefs
Updated
Version History helps you review and track changes to Campaign, Sub-campaign, and Message Briefs. You can review previous versions, restore an earlier version, export a version for auditing and collaboration, and compare versions to identify changes.
Compare mode highlights added and deleted content, making it easier to review changes across versions.
Review previous versions
Version History displays the current version and previous versions of a brief. Each version displays the date, time, and user associated with the update. The active version is marked Current.
Version History creates versions based on when changes are made and who makes them.
Changes made by the same user on the same day appear in a single version that includes the latest updates from that day.
Changes made by the same user on a different day create a new version.
If another user edits the brief between those changes, Version History creates separate versions to track each user's updates.
To open Version History,
Open a Campaign, Sub-campaign, or Message Brief.
Click Open version history in the upper-right corner of the brief editor. The Version History panel opens and displays the current and previous versions of the brief.

Click a previous version. Sprinklr displays the selected version in the preview pane without changing the current version.
Verify that the preview displays the selected version.

Compare versions
Use Compare mode to review the differences between two versions of a brief.
Open the Version History panel.
Turn on Compare mode. Sprinklr prompts you to select two versions.

Select the first version that you want to compare.
Select the second version. Sprinklr displays both versions side by side and highlights the differences:
Green indicates added content.
Red indicates deleted content.

Verify that the dates and times above the previews match the versions that you intended to compare.
To compare a different version, click a selected version again to clear its selection.
Select another version to update the comparison.
Historical versions in the comparison view display a Restore button, allowing you to restore a version directly from Compare mode. Clicking Restore opens the Restore version confirmation dialog.
Restore or export a version
After you select a previous version, you can restore that version or export it.
Restore a version
When you restore a version, Sprinklr replaces the current brief content with the content stored in the selected version. Sprinklr also restores the suggestion states saved with that version.
Select the version that you want to restore from the Version History panel.
Click Restore this version. Sprinklr opens the Restore version confirmation dialog.
Review the version details in the confirmation dialog.

Click Restore. To keep the current version unchanged, click Cancel.
Verify that the brief displays the restored content and indicates the version date from which the content was restored.
Export a version
Select the version that you want to export from the Version History panel.
Click the Export icon associated with the version preview.
Select one of the following options:
Export as PDF
Export as HTML
Verify that Sprinklr exports the selected version in the chosen format.
How restored suggestions and comments behave
When you restore a version:
Sprinklr restores the suggestion states saved in that version.
If a suggestion is Open in the restored version but Accepted in a later version, the suggestion returns to the Open state. If you return to the later version, the suggestion appears as Accepted.
Comments remain available regardless of when they were added.
Comments associated with a suggestion appear only when the corresponding suggestion card is present in the restored version. If the suggestion card is not present, its comments do not appear.
For more information about working with suggestions, see Suggestion Mode in Campaign Briefs.
