Manage Permissions for Media Uploader

In this article you will learn how to add or manage permissions for the Media Uploader. Using these, you get a control over who all can upload media from different sources including DAM, url, dynamic image uploader etc.

Steps

  1. Click the New Tab icon Space Add New Tab Icon. Under the Governance Console, click All Settings within Platform Setup.

  2. In the Platform Settings window, click Manage Workspace in the left pane and select Workspace Roles from the right pane.

  3. In the Workspace Roles (Settings) window, click Create Role in the top right corner to add a role.

  4. In the Add Role popup window, fill in the role details:

    Description

    Role Name

    Enter a unique name to identify the Role.

    Description

    Enter an optional description for the Role.

    Select Permissions

    Select the individual permissions for the Role.

    Users to Assign this Role to

    Select individual user(s) who will be provisioned with the Role and its associated permissions.

    User Groups to Assign this Role to

    Select the user group(s) who will be provisioned with the Role and its associated permissions.

  5. To enable the desired tab in the media uploader window, select the desired box under Media Uploader. If you select All, then all the tabs will be available in the Media Uploader window.

    The following permissions will enable the respective tabs in the Media Uploader window:

    • Desktop Upload —Upload tab

    • Sprinklr DAM — Add from DAM tab and Favorites tab

    • External DAM — All the external tabs

    • Add From URL — Add from URL tab

    • Dynamic Image — Dynamic Image tab

  6. Click Save in the bottom right corner to define roles and permissions for the users.
