Execution Tokens for Guided Workflow Troubleshooting

Updated

This article explains how to locate the Execution Token when a Guided Workflow execution fails. The execution token is displayed directly in the error message, making it easier to troubleshoot issues and share execution details with support teams without having to inspect the browser's Network tab.

Steps to Locate the Execution Token

  1. Navigate to the Guided Workflow Manager.

  2. Locate the required Guided Workflow and click Execute.
  3. Note: You can also execute a Guided Workflow directly from the Guided Workflow Canvas

  4. If the Guided Workflow runs within the context of a case, select the appropriate case number and click Execute Live.
  5. If the execution fails, the error message displays the Execution Token.
The execution token can be used to identify and track the workflow execution logs for troubleshooting and issue analysis.

Example

When a Guided Workflow execution encounters an error, the execution token is displayed in the failure message, allowing you to quickly retrieve the associated execution logs without using browser developer tools.
