Sprinklr enables you to create benchmark of any metric on the go in the reporting widget itself. While you can view the minimum or maximum data point for a particular metric, you can also view the aveage for the same metric for your preferred date range, without the need of going to a separate screen.

With dynamic benchmark, you can calculate the average across any metric.

Steps to plot dynamic benchmark number on widget

1. Click the New Tab icon . Under the Sprinklr Social tab, click Reporting within Analyze.

2. Click the Dashboard Menu icon  in the top left corner of the Dashboard and select the desired reporting dashboard. 

3. In the desired reporting dashboard, click Enter Edit Mode in the top right corner of the Dashboard.

4. Next, click Add Widget in the top right corner of the desired reporting dashboard.

5. Select the Type of widget and enter a Name to display at the top of the widget.

6. Select the Visualization Type. [Only available for Bar & Column visualisations]

7. Select Metric and Dimension, based on the insight you want to get.

8. Enable Threshold checkbox, in the Operator field select Average or Min or Max, based on your preference.

9. Previously, there was no option to apply filters specifically to benchmarks. Any filter added would apply to the entire widget. This made it difficult to compare overall metrics (like total engagements) with a subset (such as Facebook engagements), as applying a channel filter would override the main metric.

   Now, filters can now be applied to the benchmark specifically, not the entire widget. This allows users to retain the primary metric (e.g., total engagements) while benchmarking it against a filtered subset (e.g., Facebook engagements) side by side.

10. Choose the color you want to view for this metric in the widget.

11. Enter the Name for the widget in the Benchmark Name field.
