Admin View: Overview and Game Management

Use the Admin View to monitor all games by status, access game details, and manage drafts and completed games.

Access the Admin View

  1. Open the Gamification module.

  2. Select Gamification from the left navigation panel.

The Admin View opens and displays all games organized by status.

Game Categories

The Admin View organizes games into four categories:

  • Active Games: Games currently running.

  • Upcoming / Queued Games: Games scheduled to start at a future date.

  • Completed Games: Games that have ended and display final results.

  • Draft Games: Games in progress that are not yet scheduled.

Review Active Games

  • Select Active Games.

  • Review the details displayed for each game:

    • Game Name: Title of the game. Select the name to open the game's Overview, Leaderboard, and Drilldown views.

    • Description: Summary of the game's purpose and objectives.

    • Status: Current state: Draft, Upcoming, Initializing, Active, or Completed.

    • Game Type: Scoring method: Daily (points reset each day) or Cumulative (points accumulate over the full duration).

    • Game Duration: Start and end dates of the game.

    • Number of Goals: Total goals configured.

    • Users: Number of players participating.

    • Total Achievable Points: Maximum points a player can earn across all goals.

    • Average Points: Average score across all participating players.

    • Top Performer Points: Highest points scored by any single player.

    • Top Performer: Name of the player with the highest score.

    • Game Owner: User who created or owns the game.

    • Last Modified: Date and time of the most recent update.

    • Modified By: User who made the most recent update.

  • Select a game name to open its Overview, Leaderboard, or Drilldown views.

Create and Configure Games

  1. Select + Create Game.

  2. Configure the required settings across the three tabs: Game Details, Goal Configuration, and Game Members.

  3. Select Create Game to publish, or Save as Draft to save without publishing.

Access Games View

Open any game to access the following views:

  1. Select a game from any list.

  2. Select the view to open:

    • Overview: Displays game structure and progress.

    • Leaderboard: Shows player rankings and points.

    • Drilldown: Provides detailed, record-level data for each goal.

Manage Upcoming / Queued Games

  1. Select Upcoming / Queued.

  2. Review the scheduled game details:

    • Game Name: Title of the scheduled game.

    • Status: Scheduling state: Upcoming or Queued.

    • Game Type: Daily or Cumulative scoring.

    • Description: Summary of the game's purpose.

    • Game Duration: Configured start and end dates.

    • Number of Goals: Total goals configured.

    • Users: Number of players assigned.

    • Total Achievable Points: Maximum points available when the game goes live.

    • Game Owner: User who created or owns the game.

    • Last Modified: Date and time of the most recent update.

    • Modified By: User who made the most recent update.

Note: These games start automatically when their configured start date is reached.

Manage Draft Games

  • Select Drafts.

  • Select a draft game to open it.

  • Update settings as needed before scheduling:

    • Add or remove players.

    • Edit goals.

    • Adjust game duration.

    • Configure scoring rules.

    • Update descriptions.

    • Assign Managers or Watchers.

  • Validate the following configuration details before proceeding: Game Name, Status, Game Type, Description, Game Duration, Number of Goals, Users, Total Achievable Points, Game Owner, Last Modified, and Modified By.

  • Select Schedule or Save when configuration is complete.

Note: Draft games remain in Draft status until they are scheduled.

Review Completed Games

  • Select Completed Games.

  • Review the final results for each game:

    • Game Name: Title of the completed game.

    • Status: Confirmed as Completed.

    • Game Type: Daily or Cumulative scoring used.

    • Description: Summary of the game's purpose.

    • Game Duration: Start and end dates the game ran.

    • Number of Goals: Total goals that were configured.

    • Users: Number of players who participated.

    • Total Achievable Points: Maximum points that were available.

    • Average Points: Final average score across all players.

    • Top Performer Points: Highest final score achieved.

    • Top Performer: Player who finished with the highest score.

    • Game Owner: User who owned the game.

    • Last Modified: Date and time of the last update before completion.

    • Modified By: User who made the final update.

  • Select a game name to review the Final Leaderboard, Final Points and Rank, goal-by-goal results, achievement percentages, and drilldown records.

  • Select Configuration to view the settings used for the game.

Note: Completed games are locked and cannot be edited.
