Match Paid Initiative Names to Campaigns with Set Match
Updated
Paid Rules allow you to automate actions on Paid Initiatives (PI) based on predefined conditions. Use Set Match to automatically assign a Campaign or Sub-campaign to a Paid Initiative based on name matching. When the rule runs, Sprinklr compares the Paid Initiative name with existing Campaign or Sub-campaign names and assigns the matching value.
For detailed information about creating and configuring Paid Rules, see Paid Rule Conditions & Actions.
Before you begin
Ensure that the PAID_RULE_CAMPAIGN_SUBCAMPAIGN_NAME_MATCH_ENABLED Dynamic Property (DP) is enabled. The Set Match operator is unavailable when the DP is disabled.
To enable the DP, contact your Success Manager or Sprinklr Admin. Alternatively, submit a request to tickets@sprinklr.com.
When to Use Set or Set Match
Use Set when you want the rule to assign the same Campaign or Sub-campaign to every Paid Initiative that meets the rule conditions.
Use Set Match when you want Sprinklr to determine the Campaign or Sub-campaign by matching its name with the Paid Initiative name when the rule runs. Unlike Set, which assigns a predefined value, Set Match determines the value dynamically at runtime. This helps reduce the need to create and maintain separate rules for individual Campaign mappings.
Note: Existing rules that use the Set operator continue to work without changes.
Configure Campaign Name Matching
Navigate to Sprinklr Marketing > Advertising > Optimize > Manage Rules. The Rule Engine opens.
Click Create New Rule. The New Rule window opens.

Enter the rule details, select Paid in the Context field, and then click Next. The Rule Builder opens.
Click the addition (+) icon and select Add Action. The Edit Action pane opens.

Enter a name for the action and expand Actions To Control Properties of Paid Initiatives. An action row is displayed.

Select Campaign or Sub-campaign from the Action dropdown. The selected property is added to the action row.
Select Set Match from the Operator dropdown. The action is configured to determine the value using name matching.
Select Paid Initiative name from the Value dropdown. The action configuration is completed.

Add any additional conditions or actions required for the rule, and then click Save. The rule is saved.
Click Enable Rule. The rule becomes available for execution.
Create or update a Paid Initiative that meets the rule conditions. Verify that Sprinklr assigns the matching Campaign or Sub-campaign.
What Happens When the Rule Runs
Set Match performs a case-insensitive exact match between the Paid Initiative name and existing Campaign or Sub-campaign names.
If a Campaign name matches the Paid Initiative name, Sprinklr assigns the matching Campaign.
If a Sub-campaign name matches the Paid Initiative name, Sprinklr assigns the matching Sub-campaign and automatically assigns its parent Campaign. No additional Campaign action is required.
If no match is found, Sprinklr leaves the existing Campaign and Sub-campaign values unchanged and does not return an error.
