Restrict Selectable Dates in Request Form Date Fields

Updated

Use Restrict Date Range to control which dates users can select in a Request Form date field. When creating or editing a Request Form, you can define a valid date range relative to the day the form is submitted. This helps ensure users select dates that align with business requirements, such as allowing campaign start dates only in the future or limiting due dates to a specific timeframe. The configured range can include past dates, future dates, or both, depending on your requirements.

Configure Date Range Restrictions

  1. Click the New Tab icon. Under Sprinklr Marketing, click Request Forms within Plan.

  2. In the upper-right corner of the Request Forms window, click Create New Request Form.

  3. Select the appropriate form type from the Select your Form Type window, such as Message, Campaign, Sub-Campaign, or Build Your Own Form.

  4. In the Request Form Builder, add the required sections and components to create your form.

  5. Add a Date field to the form, or select an existing Date field. The field settings appear in the Details pane.

  6. In the Details pane, enable Restrict Date Range. The following fields become available:

    • Start (Days from Today)

    • End (Days from Today)

  7. Configure at least one date boundary.

    Field

    Description

    Start (Days from Today)

Defines the earliest date users can select. Enter a positive value to allow dates after the current date or a negative value to allow dates before the current date.

    End (Days from Today)

Defines the latest date users can select. Enter a positive value to allow dates after the current date or a negative value to allow dates before the current date.

    Notes:

    • If you configure only Start (Days from Today), no upper date boundary is applied.

    • If you configure only End (Days from Today), no lower date boundary is applied.

    • The system calculates the valid date range relative to the date on which the user submits the Request Form.

    • When Restrict Date Range is enabled, you must configure at least one boundary.

  8. Click Save to save the Request Form and apply the date range restrictions to the selected Date field.

  9. Click Preview to open a preview of the Request Form.

  10. Open the configured Date field and verify that users can select only dates within the configured range. Dates outside the configured range are unavailable in the date picker.

Note: The restriction applies only to the date picker selection experience and not to the Date field itself.

Validation Rules

  • Start (Days from Today) and End (Days from Today) accept numeric values only.

  • Positive and negative values are supported to allow future and past date offsets relative to the current date.

  • If both values are configured, the calculated start date cannot be later than the calculated end date.

  • Each value must be between -2000 and 2000 days.

  • You must configure at least one boundary when Restrict Date Range is enabled.
