Stop AI-Generated Responses in Live Chat

Updated

Live Chat users can stop an AI-generated response while it is being generated. When a response starts streaming in the chat window, a Stop icon appears in the message composer. Selecting this icon immediately stops the response generation process.

Any content generated before the response is stopped remains visible in the conversation, allowing users to retain useful information and continue the interaction without waiting for the full response.

Note: This feature is available only to Live Chat end users and is not available to agents.

When a response is being generated:

  1. A Stop icon appears in the chat composer.
  2. Select the Stop icon to interrupt the response generation.
  3. The system immediately stops generating additional content.
  4. Any response content generated before the interruption remains visible in the conversation.
  5. The composer returns to its default state, allowing the user to continue the conversation.
