User Onboarding Experience with Progressive Screener

Updated

This article explains the onboarding experience users see when Progressive Screener is enabled in Advocacy. It describes how questions are displayed, how the system uses existing user data, and what happens during and after onboarding. Use this guide to understand the end‑user journey and set expectations for how users interact with the screener.

When Users Log In

When users log in, they see a streamlined onboarding experience:

  • A simple, guided onboarding flow.

  • Only essential questions are displayed.

  • A maximum of three questions appear on each screen.

Step‑by‑Step Onboarding Journey

The onboarding process follows this sequence:

  1. The user logs in.

  2. The system checks existing user data.

  3. Only required questions with missing values are shown.

  4. The user completes the questions.

  5. The user enters the platform.

When No Questions Are Required

If all required information is already available:

  • The user does not see the onboarding screen.

  • The user enters the platform directly.

Dependent Question Behavior

Some questions may appear based on previous answers.

  • When a response triggers a dependent question, the new question appears immediately.

  • The user must answer the dependent question before continuing.

Next Button Behavior

  • The Next button remains disabled until all required questions on the screen are completed.

After Onboarding

After completing onboarding, users may see a profile completion section that:

  • Shows how much of the profile is complete.

  • Encourages users to add remaining information.

Editing the Profile Later

Users can update their profile at any time. They can:

  • Modify allowed profile fields.

  • Add optional information.

  • Keep their details up to date.
