Setting Up Social Direct Message- Reddit Creative (Standard)

Social Direct Message – Reddit Creative (Standard) enables brands to design and manage survey invitation messages specifically tailored for Reddit direct message interactions. These creatives define how the survey invite appears within ongoing Reddit DM conversations, ensuring a consistent and platform-appropriate customer experience.

A Social DM-optimized survey invitation that includes the survey URL and is designed for use within active Reddit direct message threads. It functions as a selectable creative during Social DM distribution setup, allowing teams to control how the survey invitation is presented to the end customer. This feature supports the broader Social DM Distribution use case of collecting post-care feedback directly within private social care conversations. Prerequisites

​In order to access the Social Survey distribution, you must have access to the following View and Edit Distribution permissions at Survey Level.

Setting Up Creatives

  1. Navigate to Customer Feedback Management and go to Creative Library in the left pane.

  2. Click + Creative and select Social DM.

  3. Go to the Details section and fill in the details:

    1. Go to the Creative Details section and fill details:

      1. Name: Add a meaningful name to the creative.

      2. Description: Add a description to the creative.

    2. Go to Creative Permissions section and fill in the details:

      1. Set User Permissions: You can select the users and user groups and provide edit or view only permissions by clicking Add User(s).

        However, creative-level sharing works only in combination with the user’s global Role permissions.

        Sharing a creative does not override a user’s global access level. What a user can do with a shared creative depends on:

        1. The permission assigned on the creative (View or Edit), and

        2. The user’s global permissions in assigned Role.

    3. You can save the creative as Draft and click Next to continue the configuration.

  4. Go to Configuration page and fill in the details:

    1. Go to Select Platform section:

      1. Social Media Platform: Select Reddit as the social media platform from the drop-down.

      2. Asset Type: Select the asset type as Standard from the drop-down.

  5. Go to Invitation Message section:

    1. Subject: You can define a subject line for the Reddit message, with a maximum length of 100 characters. When the survey invitation is sent through a new private message or modmail thread, this subject is displayed as the thread name. However, if the survey is sent within an existing conversation thread, the subject line is not applicable and is therefore ignored.

    2. Body Text: Enter the message body that will be sent as the Reddit Direct Message (DM) containing the survey invitation.

      1. Use Sprinklr AI+ to quickly refine, rephrase, and enhance your message content for better clarity and engagement.

      2. The Reddit editor supports the following formatting and editing options:

        1. Text formatting: Bold, Italic, and Headings

        2. Links

        3. Bulleted lists

        4. Code blocks

        5. Emojis

        6. Editor controls: Undo, Redo, and Clear Formatting

      3. Survey Link: You can add a Survey Link (Mandatory) which is an out-of-the-box survey link is included in the message.

      4. Placeholder Support: To personalize the body text, users can insert placeholders that automatically update for each recipient. Supported placeholders include:

        1. Profile Fields: Use audience profile attributes to personalize messages for each recipient.

        2. Case Fields: Include case-related attributes for case-based surveys and workflows.

        3. Distribution Metadata: Use system-generated placeholders such as the Survey Expiry Date and Current Distribution Date.

    3. Survey Footer Text: You can incorporate the body of the message, and there are various options to customize the message description. Moreover, you can use Sprinklr AI+ to create and improve content. To personalize the asset, make use of placeholders in the correct order.

      1. Unsubscription Link (optional): An out-of-the-box unsubscription link can be added.

      2. Placeholder Support: To personalize the body text, users can insert placeholders that automatically update for each recipient. Supported placeholders include:

        1. Profile Fields: Use audience profile attributes to personalize messages for each recipient.

        2. Case Fields: Include case-related attributes for case-based surveys and workflows.

        3. Distribution Metadata: Use system-generated placeholders such as the Survey Expiry Date and Current Distribution Date.

  6. Go to the Translations section to add translations by clicking + Add Translations and selecting your desired language. You can use the auto-translate option to translate all survey content instantly, with the flexibility to edit or revert it anytime and review changes using a side-by-side preview. Translations can be managed while creating a new creative or editing one from the Creative Library, with options to add, edit, or delete entries as needed. If the invite is updated after translations are added, a warning prompts you to review them, and validations ensure no required fields are left empty.

  7. To save the invitation settings, click Save. You can either save it as a draft or return to a prior step to modify it.

Key points to note:

  • Currently URL shorteners are not supported for survey URL and unsubscription links in the Reddit creative.

  • Survey reminders and Thank You messages are not supported for Social DM distributions.

This allows you to review the invitation's content, layout, and formatting in real time, helping you verify that everything appears as intended before saving the creative or using it in a distribution.


Best Practices

  • Keep DM creatives short and conversational to match social messaging behavior.

  • Avoid adding unnecessary context already present in the support conversation.

  • Use neutral, friendly language to avoid sounding promotional.

  • Reuse a single Social DM-Reddit creative across similar use cases for consistency.
