Task Creation and Edit Forms

Sprinklr uses unified Task Creation and Edit forms to standardize how you create tasks across Projects, Campaigns, Sub-Campaigns, Assets, Messages, Requests, and other entities. This consistent experience simplifies task management and provides a streamlined, cohesive workflow across the platform.

In this article, you’ll learn how to create and edit tasks using Task forms in Sprinklr.

Enablement Note:

  • To enable this feature in your environment, contact your Success Manager. Alternatively, you can submit a request at tickets@sprinklr.com.

  • This feature is intended only for Sprinklr Marketing customers. If it is enabled for Sprinklr Service customers, the third pane of the UI will not display correctly on cases.

How to Create Tasks

You can create a new task from multiple locations, depending on the entity you’re working with.

From a Project or Campaign

  • Click + Add Task in the top-right corner of the Project or Campaign window.

From Other Entities

  • Open the required entity (such as an Asset, Message, or Request).

  • Navigate to the Task tab in the Third Pane.

  • Click the + icon in the top-right corner of the Task tab to open the Create Task form. Alternatively, if no task exists for the entity, you can also use the + Add Task button in the Task tab to create a new task.

Fill in Task Details

In the Create Task form, provide the following details as needed:

  • Task Name: Enter a clear and relevant name for the task.

  • Description: Add details to explain the task requirements.

  • Attachments: Upload any files related to the task.

  • Checklist: Add checklist items to track required actions.

  • Task Type: Select the appropriate task type from the list.

  • Status: Choose the current status of the task.

  • Assigned To: Search for and select the user you want to assign the task to.

  • Task Queue: Select a task queue for assignment.

  • Due Date: Set a deadline for completing the task.

  • Properties: Fill in any additional required task properties.

After completing the required fields, click Create in the bottom-right corner to create the task.

Edit Tasks

To edit an existing task:

  1. Open the required entity (Campaign, Sub-Campaign, Asset, Message, and more).

  2. Navigate to the Task tab in the Third Pane.

  3. Hover over the task you want to edit.

  4. Click the Edit icon to open the Create/Edit Task form.

  5. Update the task details as needed and click Save.
