Accessing Inline Keyword Management
Refer to the following steps to proceed further:
Click the New Tab icon and navigate to Sprinklr Social tab, click Engagement Dashboards within Engage.

Access an existing dashboard or you can even click + Create Dashboard to create a new dashboard.
In the desired Engagement Dashboard, click Add Column in either the top right corner of the Dashboard or in the middle of the Dashboard.

In the Add New Column window, search and select a Listening from the available column category icons for your new column.

Next, select the desired Column Type. The column types available will depend on the column category you selected. After selecting the type of column you want to create, enter a Name, Description, select Topic Group and Topics or Themes . Fill in the required fields and click Create Column.

After the column has been established and the mentions begin to fill in, choose a keyword from a message.
In the Update the Keyword overlay, choose a Topic or Theme and select Include or Exclude.

Include Option: Use the Include option when you want to expand a Topic or Theme to capture conversations containing a specific keyword. The keyword is automatically appended to the existing query and displayed in the query preview before you save the change.
Example: You discover an emerging product name while reviewing LinkedIn conversations. Instead of opening the Topic Builder separately, you can add the keyword directly from the message and immediately update the Topic.
Exclude Option: Use the Exclude option when you want to remove irrelevant conversations from a Topic or Theme. The selected keyword is appended as an exclusion in the query preview, helping reduce noise and improve the relevance of your listening results.
Example: A common industry term is generating unrelated mentions in a Theme. You can exclude that keyword directly from the Engagement column to improve result quality without rebuilding the query.
Review the generated query in the Topic or Theme Builder. Save the query update.
Continue working from the Engagement column after the update is applied.
How does it work?
When reviewing messages in an Engagement column, you can select any keyword to view all associated Topics and Themes configured for that column. From the Update the Keyword overlay, you can choose whether to include or exclude the selected keyword from a Topic or Theme.
After making your selection, you're redirected to the corresponding Topic or Theme Builder, where the updated query is automatically generated and displayed for review. Once you save the update, you're returned to the Engagement column so you can continue your analysis.
