User Auto Provisioning via SSO Login
Updated
Creating and managing users can be an effort-intensive process for admins, especially when the number of users is huge. Customers can leverage Sprinklr’s self-user creation capability known as Auto provisioning to save considerable time and effort in this process.
If the customer has Single Sign-On (SSO) for user login, they can utilize the SAML response obtained from SSO to create new users on the fly within Sprinklr. This mitigates the need to manually invite the users (via form or file upload) and ensures compliance as the Sprinklr user fields are directly sourced from the SSO SAML response, and the users have provisioned accesses accordingly.
How is Auto Provisioning different from SSO?
Single Sign-On capability provides the end users an easier way to login, rather than the standard email/password login to Sprinklr. With SSO, users can log in to the Sprinklr platform via their company’s enterprise login. You can read more in detail about SSO in this article. On the other hand, Auto provisioning is used by customer’s for creating and managing users without any efforts from the Admin team. User fields are directly stored in Sprinklr with the help of SSO response.
For a customer, Auto provisioning can only take place with SSO. This is a necessary step as only after SSO login takes place for the first time, the user fields are mapped from SSO SAML response to the user data stored in Sprinklr.
During each SSO user login process, you have the capability to extract valuable information from the SSO SAML response and store it in your preferred user custom fields within Sprinklr. This data can serve various purposes, including authentication and user session tracking.
The extracted information can include:
Request IP Address Skip Forwarded
Remote User
Client Passed IP Address

Remote Port
Remote Host
