Article Feedback Widget

The Article Feedback Widget (Helpful Widget) enables you to indicate whether an article is helpful. If users mark an article as not helpful, they can provide feedback about their experience. Administrators can track and analyze this feedback through Community Reporting to better understand article effectiveness and identify opportunities to improve content.

Configure Article Feedback Widget
Follow these steps to configure the Article Feedback Widget:

Navigate to Community Builder.

Click the vertical ellipsis (⋮) icon corresponding to the Community where you want to configure the Article Feedback Widget. This displays a list of available options.
Select Edit from the list of options to open the Community configuration page.
Select Widget Library from the top toolbar on the Community configuration page.
Select Helpful Widget from the Left Pane to open the article feedback widget configuration page.

Fill in the required fields in the configuration form. Fields marked with a red dot are mandatory. Below are the descriptions of all the fields in this section:
Tag: Select an existing tag or create a new tag to easily identify the widget.
Classname: Enter the CSS class name required for custom styling, if applicable.
Title: Enter the user-facing widget heading. It is set to Helpful Widget by default. (Required)
Yes button label: Enter the user-facing label for the button that users select to mark the article as helpful.
No button label: Enter the user-facing label for the button that users select to mark the article as not helpful.
Show Helpful Count: Enable this option to display the helpful-response count on widget to the users. It is disabled by default.
Retain widget after user submission: Enable this option to keep the widget visible after feedback is submitted. It is disabled by default.
Custom Function Name: Enter the approved function name to run after feedback submission, if applicable.
Enable create post button: Enable this option to show an Ask a question button instead of the text feedback input after a user selects Not helpful. It is disabled by default.
Ask a question button label: Enter the user-facing label for the Ask a question button.
Open new conversation in a new tab: Enable this option to open the new conversation form in a new tab when users select Ask a question. It is disabled by default.
Note: The Ask a question button label and Open new conversation in a new tab fields are visible only when the Enable create post button option is enabled.
Branding: Enter the approved styling or branding code, if applicable.
Select Save to save the widget configuration.
This completes the process of configuring the article feedback widget (Helpful Widget). You can now use the widget when configuring pages in the Page Layout section.
