Publish to TikTok Personal Profile on Distributed
Updated
You can leverage Sprinklr to connect and publish content from your TikTok Personal Profile. This capability extends the existing TikTok integration to support personal profiles while retaining the current TikTok publishing experience. This article provides an overview of how to add a TikTok Personal Profile, publish content, and differentiate personal and business profiles within Sprinklr.
Note: The TikTok Personal Profile capability is DP-enabled and is currently available as a Limited Availability (LA) feature. To enable this feature in your environment, reach out to your Success Manager. Alternatively, you can submit a request at tickets@sprinklr.com.
Use Cases
As a distributed user, I can connect my TikTok Personal Profile to Sprinklr and manage publishing from the platform.
I can publish TikTok content through Sprinklr without switching between Sprinklr and TikTok for the publishing workflow.
As a distributed user, I can distinguish between Personal Profiles and Business Profiles when configuring rules and other platform functionality.
Admins can use the TikTok Account Category condition to apply configurations specifically to personal profiles, business profiles, or both.
Benefits
Manage TikTok personal-profile publishing directly from Sprinklr.
Maintain a consistent publishing workflow across supported TikTok account types.
Apply rules and configurations specifically to personal or business TikTok profiles.
Keep personal TikTok Direct Messages private when the profile is connected to Sprinklr.
Use Select All when a configuration needs to apply to both personal and business profiles.
Add a TikTok Personal Profile
Log into the Sprinklr Distributed environment.
Navigate to the Account Addition screen.
Search for TikTok in the search bar.
Select the TikTok Business Account option.

Note: Although you are adding a personal TikTok profile, the account continues to appear as TikTok Business in the Sprinklr interface. This is a known product limitation and is intentional to avoid a broader platform-wide nomenclature change.
Click Go to TikTok.
TikTok opens a pop-up displaying the account associated with your current browser session.
Click Continue and select the TikTok account you want to connect.
Note: If multiple TikTok accounts are associated with the same email ID or login, you can select the specific account that you want to add to Sprinklr.
Sprinklr displays a confirmation message indicating that you are about to add a TikTok Personal Profile.
Note: Your TikTok Direct Messages remain private. Sprinklr does not access your personal TikTok DMs through this integration.
Click Add to complete the account-connection process.
Once the process is complete, the TikTok profile will appear in the list of connected accounts.
Add a TikTok Personal Profile from DST
Log into the DST environment.
Navigate to Accounts.
Select TikTok.
Click the Add icon.
Complete the TikTok authentication flow.
Select the TikTok account that you want to connect.
If multiple accounts are available under the same login, select the required account.
Review the confirmation message indicating that a personal TikTok profile is being added and that your DMs remain private.
Click Add.
The selected TikTok Personal Profile will be added to Sprinklr.
Publish a Video from a TikTok Personal Profile
Once the personal profile has been added, you can use the existing TikTok publishing workflow.
Open the Create Post window.
Select the connected TikTok account.
Note: The account may continue to appear as TikTok Business even though it is a Personal Profile.
Add the video that you want to publish.
Enter the required content and configure the available publishing options.
Click Post to publish the video immediately.
The publishing experience for a TikTok Personal Profile follows the existing TikTok Business publishing workflow.
Differentiate Between TikTok Personal and Business Profiles via Rule Engine
Since both account types are displayed as TikTok Business, Sprinklr provides the TikTok Account Category condition to distinguish between them.
Navigate to the relevant Rule Engine.
Select Condition - Account Type is TikTok Business Account.
Next, select Condition - TikTok Account Category is Personal Profile from the dropdown options: Personal Profile, Business Profile and Select All.
Select Personal Profile when the rule or configuration should apply only to personal TikTok profiles.
Select Business Profile when it should apply only to business profiles.
Select Select All when the configuration should apply to both personal and business TikTok profiles.
Note: Use TikTok Account Category rather than the general Account Type condition when you need to distinguish between Personal and Business TikTok profiles.
Privacy
When connecting a TikTok Personal Profile, Sprinklr displays a confirmation that:
Your DMs stay private.
Personal TikTok Direct Messages are not accessed through the integration. This ensures that connecting a personal profile to Sprinklr does not expose the user's private TikTok conversations.
Limitations and Known Considerations
TikTok Personal Profiles continue to be displayed as TikTok Business in the Sprinklr interface.
The distinction between Personal and Business Profiles is available through the TikTok Account Category condition.
Engagement functionality follows the existing TikTok experience and is subject to the availability of the underlying engagement services.
