You can create a Request Contact Info template for the WhatsApp Business channel to prompt users to share their phone numbers directly. This is especially useful when users are identified only by their BSUID/username and their phone number is not yet available in Sprinklr.

When a customer taps the Share Contact Info button, WhatsApp automatically shares their number. The number is then ingested into Sprinklr, and the associated profile is updated.

Create a Request Contact Info Template

Follow these steps to create a Request Contact Info template in DAM:

1. Click the New Page (+) icon to open the Launchpad.

2. Under Platform Modules > Integrate, click Digital Asset Management.

3. In the top‑right corner, click Create Asset.

4. From the drop‑down, select Templates > Omni Chat Templates.

5. In the Basic Details section, enter the template name and description.

6. In the Asset Specific section:

• From the Channel drop‑down, select WhatsApp Business.

• From the Template Type drop‑down, select Request Contact Info.

7. In the Message Details section, compose the message.

• Enter the text to be displayed on the Request Contact Info card.

• Use available formatting options in the text box to style the message.

• The template automatically includes a Share Contact Info button, which customers can use to share their phone number.

  

8. Switch to the Translation tab to translate the template into other languages. For details, see the Add Translations section.

9. Once the template is composed, configure asset details, properties, additional details, and sharing options.

10. Click Save.

The template is now ready to use for customer interactions on WhatsApp Business.

Add Translations

1. Switch to the Translation tab.

2. In the top‑left corner, click Add Language.

3. From the drop‑down, select the required languages.

Tabs for the added languages will appear at the top.

4. Click the desired language tab to add or edit translations.

5. When finished, return to the Editor and click Save at the bottom to save the translations.
