Permissions in AI Agent Builder

Updated

Access to AI Agent Builder is managed through role-based permissions configured in Global Roles.

Permissions define what actions users can perform within each module and provide granular control over viewing, editing, deleting, and deploying AI configurations.

Available Permissions

View

  • Provides read-only access to supported entities.
  • Users can view applications, agents, tasks, tools, and configurations.
  • No modification is allowed.

Edit

  • Provides full configuration access.
  • Users can create and update supported entities and settings.
  • Includes all capabilities available under View.

Delete

  • Allows users to permanently delete supported entities such as applications, agents, and tasks.
  • Managed independently of Edit permission.

Deploy

  • Allows users to deploy configurations to the target environment.
  • Users without this permission can configure entities but cannot publish or deploy changes.

Permission Behavior

  • Users with View access can review all supported entities but cannot make changes.
  • Users with Edit access can view and modify configurations.
  • Delete access must be explicitly granted and is managed separately.
  • Deploy access is controlled independently to restrict publishing to authorized users.

Manage Permissions

Configure permissions from Global Roles Management:

  • Assign a combination of View, Edit, Delete, and Deploy permissions.
  • Align access levels with user responsibilities and roles within AI Agent Builder.
