Progressive Screener: A Simpler Way to Onboard Users in Advocacy

Updated

Overview

Progressive Screener (also called Screener v2) is a redesigned onboarding experience in Advocacy that makes signup faster and simpler.

Previously, users had to complete all screener questions before entering the platform. This often resulted in long and repetitive forms, duplicated information, and lower completion rates if users abandoned the process.

Progressive Screener improves this experience by showing only the essential questions needed to get started. If user information already exists in the system—for example, through Single Sign‑On (SSO) or user data uploads—it is automatically applied. Users no longer need to re-enter information that Sprinklr already has.

Users can provide any remaining details after they access the platform.

Why This Change Was Introduced

Many organizations already store user information in systems such as HR management tools or SSO providers. In earlier versions of Advocacy onboarding, users still had to manually re-enter this known information.

This resulted in:

  • Long and repetitive forms.

  • Friction during signup.

  • Lower onboarding completion rates.

Progressive Screener reduces effort for users and helps organizations activate users more quickly.

What Changes with Progressive Screener

With this onboarding experience:

  • Users see only the required questions that are still missing.

  • Existing information is automatically applied.

  • Users can enter the platform faster.

  • Optional details can be completed later.

What Does Not Change

The following functionality remains the same:

  • Approval workflows.

  • Content segmentation.

  • Reporting and analytics.

How the System Decides What to Show

The system uses a simple set of rules to determine whether a question appears during onboarding.

A question is shown only when:

  • The question is marked as required.

  • The system does not already have a value for it.

  • The question is not hidden from the user.

If a question fails any of these checks, it is not shown.

Example

If your organization already has the following information for a user:

  • Name

  • Department

  • Location

And these fields are required, they will not appear again during onboarding because the information already exists—either from SSO or from a data upload. The user only sees questions that still need input.

Who Should Use This Feature

Progressive Screener is ideal for organizations that:

  • Onboard large numbers of users.

  • Already maintain user data in HR systems or SSO.

  • Want to lower friction during onboarding.

  • Want users to activate quickly.
