Two Dimensional Visualization

A two-dimensional table in widget visualization is a grid or matrix that organizes data across two axes (rows and columns). Each axis represents a dimension, and the intersection of a row and a column shows the corresponding value. It can handle various dimensions and metrics, especially in out-of-the-box (OOTB) reports. Two-dimensional reports can support multiple dimensions and visualize metrics across them.

​The Two-Dimensional Visualization can be plotted in any custom reporting dashboard, depending on permissions. To get started, you can use any existing editable dashboard or create a new one. Refer to this article to learn how to set up a Custom Dashboard. Once you have the dashboard where you want to add the visualization widget, follow the steps below:

  1. On the Custom Dashboard, click + Add Widget in the top right corner.

  2. On the widget builder, enter the widget's name and select the data source as Service Analytics.

  3. Select Two-Dimensional Table as a visualization type.

  4. Under the “What would you like to plot on your widget?” section, you will be given the below fields:

    1. Column: You can select the required dimension. You can filter and slice across multiple metadata dimensions.

    2. Row: You can select multiple dimensions.

    3. Value: You can choose the metrics you want to see against your desired dimensions.

  5. Select the configuration options as desired. For more information, refer to the ‘Configuration options’ section below.

  6. Under the "Defined Advanced Options" section, you can apply filters, define additional properties and set personalized targets with these options.

  7. Click Add to Dashboard on the bottom right corner to create a new widget.

Note: You would need to enable Dynamic Property to enable multiple columns in the visualisation. Post 26.1 you can add multiple dimensions in horizontal axis.
