Compliance Agent

Updated

Overview

Compliance Agent helps you evaluate ideas and generated content before they move through your marketing workflow. It assesses content against your brand guidelines, channel requirements, and topic-sensitivity considerations, helping you identify potential compliance issues early in the content lifecycle.

Compliance results are displayed directly on idea and content cards, allowing you to review compliance scores, investigate warnings, and understand which compliance checks contributed to the result.

Compliance Agent evaluates content across three categories:

  • Topic and sentiment: Identifies topic-related, market-sensitivity, and reputational risks.
  • Brand compliance: Evaluates whether content aligns with your brand voice, messaging, values, and configured brand guidelines.
  • Channel specifications: Evaluates whether content complies with channel-specific requirements and best practices.

By surfacing compliance insights during ideation and content creation, Compliance Agent helps reduce compliance issues before content reaches review, approval, or publishing stages.

Note: Marketing Agent is currently in the Limited Accessibility (LA) phase. If you are interested in gaining access, please contact your Success Manager. Alternatively, you can submit a request at tickets@sprinklr.com.

Steps

  1. Open the generated idea.
  2. Click on the details pane of the generated idea to see the compliance score or click on the Compliance tab in the right panel.
  3. Review compliance results for:

    • Topic and sentiment
    • Brand compliance
    • Channel specifications
  4. Expand a category to review individual compliance checks.
  5. Expand a warning to understand the reason for the result.

  • Creator & Partnership Risk: Flags creator and partnership reputation risks.

  • Legal, Accuracy & Ethical Risk: Flags legal, factual and ethical concerns.

Review compliance results for Content Card (generated content)

Generated content cards display a compliance score and compliance controls.

Steps:

  1. Open the generated content card.
  2. Select the compliance control.
  3. Review the available compliance categories.
  4. Expand a category to inspect individual compliance checks. Note: The Topic and Sentiment score displayed on the Content Card is inherited directly from the corresponding Idea Card.

Depending on the content type, Compliance Agent can evaluate:

  • Typography and fonts
  • File formats
  • Asset requirements
  • Channel-specific constraints
  • Captions

The compliance panel can indicate whether a violation applies to the caption, image, video, asset, or hashtag level.

  8. Review thresholds and weightages.
  9. Save the configuration.

Each brand includes a default compliance structure that defines compliance categories and checks.

You can customise the configuration by adding brand-specific requirements such as:

  • Logo usage requirements
  • Messaging guidelines
  • Brand voice requirements
  • Governance policies

Before activation, Compliance Agent allows you to review generated compliance rules and threshold values. You can update the configuration before saving it as the active compliance context for the brand.

Populate compliance rules from Document Center

Compliance requirements can be maintained manually or generated from uploaded brand documentation.

Steps

  1. Open Document Center.
  2. Upload a compliance or brand-guidelines document.
  3. Associate the document with the relevant brand.
  4. Wait for document processing to complete.
  5. Open Setup Compliance for the associated brand.
  6. Review the compliance rules.
  7. Edit the rules if required.
  8. Save the configuration.

When additional compliance-related documents are uploaded:

  • Compliance Agent identifies that the existing compliance configuration may require review.
  • Updated rules are presented for review.
  • Users can accept, modify, or reject the proposed updates.
  • Previous configurations can be restored, if required.

Note:

  • Compliance configuration is regenerated every six hours.

  • When updated compliance rules become available, users receive a notification directing them to review the updated configuration.

Configure compliance thresholds and weightages

Compliance scores are influenced by category thresholds and configured category weightages.

Steps

  1. Open Setup Compliance.
  2. Navigate to the threshold and weightage settings.
  3. Review the threshold for each compliance category.
  4. Update thresholds as required.
  5. Review the category weightages.
  6. Adjust weightages based on organisational priorities.
  7. Ensure that the combined weightages equal 100%.
  8. Save the configuration.

For example, if brand consistency is the primary requirement for a brand, you can assign a higher weightage to Brand compliance and lower weightages to the remaining categories. The saved configuration becomes the active compliance configuration for the brand.

Additional information

Idea and content compliance behaviour

Compliance behaviour differs between ideas and generated content:

  • Topic and sentiment is evaluated on ideas.
  • Content generated from an idea inherits the idea-level topic-and-sentiment score.
  • Topic and sentiment is not evaluated independently on generated content.
  • Brand compliance is evaluated on both ideas and content.
  • Channel specifications are evaluated on both ideas and content.

Because generated content includes additional assets and metadata, content-level compliance checks may evaluate criteria that are not available during ideation.

Compliance scores

Compliance scores are displayed as percentages and are calculated using the configured category weightages.

The ideation experience displays the following two colors for score thresholds:

  • Green
  • Red

For content generated from an idea, the compliance experience can display both the inherited idea score and the current content-level score.

Users can expand the compliance panel to review category-level results and identify the compliance checks that contributed to the overall score.

Sensitive topic screening

Sensitive Topic Screening identifies potential brand-safety and market-sensitivity risks and surfaces:

  • Flagged topics
  • Affected markets
  • Sentiment insights
  • Recommended actions

When no risks are detected, Compliance Agent displays a cleared status for the evaluated content.

Brand guideline drift

Compliance Agent automatically evaluates content against the latest approved brand guidelines.

When guideline updates affect existing ideas or content, Compliance Agent highlights the impacted areas and identifies the affected sections. These notifications are informational and do not prevent users from continuing their workflow.

Channel compliance

Channel compliance checks evaluate content against platform-specific requirements.

When violations are identified, Compliance Agent provides:

  • Platform name
  • Violated rule
  • Affected content element
  • Recommended action

For multi-platform content, channel-specific compliance results can be reviewed individually.

Limitations

  • Topic and sentiment is not evaluated independently on generated content.
  • Content generated from an idea inherits the idea-level topic-and-sentiment score.
  • Compliance configuration is only available at the category level.
  • Individual compliance checks and sections cannot be assigned separate weightages.
