Sprinklr Social: 20.4.1 Release Notes
Updated
Sprinklr Social is a powerful platform for scaling social media efforts. It offers tools for publishing, engagement, reporting, and more across multiple channels. This release introduces new capabilities designed to elevate customer experiences at every touchpoint, delivering strong business impact.
Engagement
The following features are introduced in Engagement for improved experience and efficiency:
Instagram Graph API Updates and Deprecation
With the release of v22 of Graph API, Meta now requires additional account linkages to access usernames of profiles on Instagram ad post comments. Your Instagram account must be:
Linked to a Facebook Page
Both the Instagram account and the Facebook Page must be part of the same Business Manager as the Facebook Ad Account, and
You must have admin access to all three entities.
These requirements were not enforced in v21. To maintain access to username data in Sprinklr, follow Meta’s setup guide to link your Instagram and Facebook pages. For more details, please refer to Instagram Channel Updates.
Asset Management
The following features are introduced in Asset Management for improved experience and efficiency:
Support for Facebook Stories in Bulk Asset Import
Bulk import now supports Post assets on LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and X (formerly Twitter), alongside the Media assets that were already supported on these channels. This enhancement allows you to upload up to 1,000 assets at once, significantly reducing the time and effort needed to build your content library. Assets can be uploaded via a .zip file or direct URLs, giving you flexibility in how you manage your uploads. For more details, please refer to Bulk Import Assets.
Advocacy
The following features are introduced in Advocacy for improved experience and efficiency:
Enhanced Admin Settings to Hide Leaderboard by User Group
Earlier, some gamified elements, like the Points Leaderboard, remained visible even when gamification is disabled for certain users. With this release, admins will have full control over points leaderboard visibility on both Web and Mobile platforms, with no option for users to opt in or out. This control will be managed through a visibility filter in the Members menu within the Admin Console, using filter types like IN and NOT IN, similar to existing filters in the Content tab. Once the configuration is updated and the site is published, restricted users will no longer see the Leaderboard or the Members menu icon. For more details, please refer to Members: Leaderboard(Advocacy).
Gamification Points for Engagement and External Content Sharing
Advocacy is designed to drive engagement and recognize user contributions. When you share content on platforms like LinkedIn/X and someone interacts (like, comment, share) with it, you earn points for generating fresh engagement. You can also use the Create External Post feature to publish your own content—even if it’s not directly related to the brand. Previously, channel - engagement on these external posts didn’t earn points—but with a recent update, admins can now enable point rewards for these channel engagements, provided channel-level gamification is turned on. For more details, please refer to Create Your Own Post (Advocacy) and Enable External Publisher in Advocacy.
Distributed
The following features are introduced in Distributed for improved experience and efficiency:
Distributed Control Panel (DCP) Moved and Redesigned for Easier Access
With the rollout of the 20.4.1 release, the Distributed Control Panel (DCP) has been moved under Persona Preferences. Within the DCP window, the positioning of Panel Configurations (previously called App Configurations) and Homepage Configurations has been updated—these options, once located on the left panel, will now appear closer to the center. By default, the Panel Configuration screen will be displayed upon opening the DCP. You can mark DCP as a favorite or access it through the Recents tab. For more details, please refer to Distributed Home Page Widgets Configuration.
