Sponsored Snaps and Chat Feed Placement

Updated

Overview

Sprinklr now supports delivery of Snapchat Sponsored Snaps into the Chat Feed placement via Snap’s bidded auction. This unlocks new inventory and can boost performance by layering Chat Feed delivery with existing Story placements.

Snapchatter Experience

  • Placement: Sponsored Snaps appear as a single card in the Chat Feed.

  • Engagement Flow:

    1. Tap the Sponsored Snap thumbnail in Chat Feed → Full-screen ad plays.

    2. Tap again on the chat cell → Branded 1:1 chat view with your creative.

    3. Optional: Snapchatter can send messages and receive your auto-response.

Advertiser Eligibility

  1. Objectives & Conversion Settings

    • Web Ads

      • Sales Objective: Any web conversion goal/event and optimization window

      • Traffic Objective: Maximize website conversions (Page View event)

    • App Ads

      • App Promotion Objective with App Install goal

      • Performance Goal: Maximize installs or in-app events (App Purchase event)

      • Attachment type: App Install (deep links unsupported)

  2. Ad Formats

    • Single Image Ads, Video Ads, Story Ads

    • Dynamic Product Ads won’t deliver into Chat Feed

  3. Geographic

    • Any Snapchat-supported country except EU markets

  4. Placement Combos

    • Chat Feed must be paired with User Stories or Publisher & Creator Stories

    • Automatic and Custom placements both apply; Chat Feed cannot be manually deselected

Creative Customization

In the Message Design section of Ad Details, you can add (all optional):

  • Branded Chat Background

    • 1080 × 1920 (px), PNG or JPEG

  • Chat Message

    • Up to 500 characters

  • Auto-Response

    • Up to 500 characters or video (≤ 180 sec, H.264, 1080 × 1920 px)

If left blank, the ad still delivers into Chat Feed using default creative.

Setup in Sprinklr Ads Manager

  1. Create Campaign

    • Select Sales, Traffic, or App Promotion objective

  2. Ad Set Details → Placement Option

    • Choose Custom Placement → Enable Chat Feed (shown when eligible)

  3. Ad Details → Message Design

    • Upload background, write chat message, configure auto-response as needed

  4. Review & Launch

Note: Even if Chat Feed appears in the UI, eligibility depends on your objective, attachment type, and targeting settings. Ads Manager placement-level reporting remains aggregate; Chat Feed metrics roll up into overall campaign performance.

Impression Definition & Reporting

  • Sponsored Snap Impression: Counted when ≥ 50% of the Chat Feed card is on-screen for ≥ 1 sec or tapped.

  • Reporting: All delivery and performance data appears in your standard Sprinklr campaign reports—no separate Chat Feed breakdown.
