Version History
Updated
Version History is a helpful feature in a knowledge management system that allows users to keep track of changes made to articles over time. Each time an article is updated, a new version is created, and the previous version is saved in the Version History.
With Version History, users can view the body, title, and country variant edits that were made to each version of an article, as well as the date and time of the change and the author who made the change. This can be particularly useful for teams working collaboratively on a knowledge-base article, as it allows them to see who made changes and when, and to keep track of updates and revisions.
In addition, Version History allows users to restore previous versions of an article if needed. This can be helpful if a mistake was made during an update or if the information was accidentally deleted or changed.
It's important to note that while Version History tracks changes to the body and title of an article, it does not track changes made to the article properties/featured details. Therefore, users should be careful when making changes to article properties, such as tags or categories, as these changes will not be reflected in the Version History but can be tracked in the activity tab in the article third pane.

1. Open Version History (Clock icon) from the top right corner.
Here, you can view previous versions of an article and the revisions that were made in each version.
2. Select the desired version on the right. Click Duplicate on the selected version card on the right to create a cloned article of that version.
3. You can also restore any version to make it the current draft version by clicking Restore Version.
4. To view the changes made between two versions, click Compare Versions in the top right corner. Then, select the two desired versions to compare. The latest version will appear on the right side, and the oldest on the left side. Any additions made will be highlighted in green, while deletions will be highlighted in red.
