Using a Custom "From" address

Updated

Email Marketing Accounts enables you to dispatch bulk, branded survey emails from Customer Feedback Management, utilizing a verified brand-owned domain. It offers both real-time and scheduled sending options, along with customizable sender information.

You can refer to the Email Survey Distribution article for further details on Business Use Cases.

Prerequisites

This functionality is typically included within the Customer Feedback Management module. When Customer Feedback Management is turned on in your environment, the Email Marketing Account type is automatically activated.

Setting Up From Address

  1. Verify Your Domain (One-Time Setup): Before sending emails from your brand’s domain (for instance, @acme.com), Sprinklr must verify the domain.

Raise a support ticket at tickets@sprinklr.com with the following details:

    • The domain you want to verify (e.g., acme.com)

    • Partner Name

    • Partner ID

    • Production Environment

    1. If you are confirming this domain in a sandbox environment and wish for it to function in the associated production partner as well, please clearly state this in your request.

    2. Sprinklr will provide CNAME records that need to be included in the DNS settings of the brand's domain by their IT team.

    3. After the records have been added, Sprinklr will check the domain and inform you when it is prepared for sending emails.

  2. Add the Email Marketing Account in Sprinklr

After domain verification, follow the steps below:

    1. Navigate to Customer Feedback Management Persona App and go to Global Settings.

    2. Navigate to Accounts and go to + Add Account and select Email Marketing.

    3. Select Email Marketing as the channel type, and fill in the required fields, as explained below.

    4. Go to Add Email Marketing account and fill in the details:

      1. Upload Picture: Please upload an image that you would like to link with your email marketing account.

      2. Display Name: You can enter a meaningful name which will be displayed to others.

      3. Email: You can enter the email address.

      4. From Name: You can enter the name with which emails shall be sent to customers.

      5. Reply to: You can enter the name of the user to which customers shall reply over email.

      6. Unsubscribe Mail to: You can enter the email id of the receiver who will receive emails when an end user unsubscribes.

      7. User Frequency Capping: You can enter the maximum limit of the number of emails you can send to the end user within a given time frame.

      8. User Frequency Capping Time Unit: You can select the time unit for the user frequency capping.

      9. Account Frequency Capping: You can specify the maximum number of emails that can be sent from a particular account during a specified time period.

      10. Account Frequency Capping Time Unit: You have the option to choose the time interval for the account frequency limitation.

    5. Click Save.

You can only save the Email Marketing account if Sprinklr has successfully verified your domain. For improved management, you have the option to assign various permissions to users or user groups in the Permissions section. This can be done by clicking the Vertical Ellipsis () next to the account and choosing Edit.

Note: If you did not create the account yourself, the account owner must grant you the necessary permissions and share the account with you before you can use it in a distribution.

However, domain verification and the insertion of CNAME records require action from the brand’s IT team, which introduces an external dependency that may affect timelines.

You can refer to the article to add an Email Marketing Account to publish emails in bulk.
