Version History in Guided Workflows

Updated

With Version History, you can keep track of every change made to a guided workflow over time. It gives you access to a complete record of past versions, allowing you to review, restore, or reference earlier configurations whenever needed. Whether you're troubleshooting, auditing, or just want to revert to a previous setup, Version History helps you stay in control of your workflow’s evolution.

The Version Comparator is an inbuilt capability in the version history designed to compare two versions of a guided workflow, making it easier to track changes, debug issues, and manage workflow versions efficiently. By highlighting the differences between the two selected versions, users can quickly identify any modifications, additions, or deletions made in the workflow. This feature simplifies the debugging process, helps in tracking updates, and ensures that the latest version is functioning as expected.

Key Features

  • Compare Two Versions: Select two versions of a workflow to compare their differences.

  • Highlight Changes: Identifies and highlights any modifications made between the versions, such as new nodes or updated actions.

  • Simplified Debugging: Helps to quickly locate changes, speeding up the debugging process and ensuring workflows perform as intended.

  • Workflow Management: Provides clarity on what has been changed, added, or removed, ensuring better version control and tracking.

Steps to Use Version Comparator

  1. Click the New Tab icon. Under the Sprinklr Service tab, select Guided Workflows within Resolve.

  2. Open any Guided Workflow you want to compare.

  3. On the configurator window, you will see the Version History icon in the top right corner.

  4. Once you click on it, the Version History will be displayed in the right panel, showing a list of previous versions and changes made.

  5. To compare two versions of the guided workflow, first, select the version you want to compare, then click the Compare toggle. After that, choose another version to compare it with the previously selected version.

  6. After selecting two versions for comparison, you can see the changes made in the Guided Workflow. Refer to the example image below - if you compare the version deployed at 10:56 AM with the version at 10:59 AM, the differences will be highlighted. Edited nodes will appear in green, indicating modifications between the selected versions.

  7. If you click on the View Details icon on the edited node, you can see the specific change made in that particular node.

  8. Wherever the changes in that particular node were made, that field will be highlighted in green. For Example, in the screenshot below, the Node Name was edited.
