Hypothesis Validation Insights
Updated
Hypothesis validation in survey analytics is a powerful AI-driven feature that connects structured survey responses with unstructured social data, generating insights. It compares internal survey data with external social media insights, helping organizations uncover hidden patterns, validate assumptions, and identify gaps in customer sentiment. Providing a broader understanding of the customer’s voice empowers cross-functional teams to make more informed and holistic decisions.
Business Problems Solved
Let's have a look at some of the business problems hypothesis validation has solved:
Blind Spots in Surveys: Social feedback uncovers insights that may be missed due to low or biased survey participation.
Unverified Assumptions: Validates whether survey results align with broader public sentiment.
Feedback Discrepancy: Identifies gaps where customer sentiment differs between direct survey responses and unsolicited feedback.
Feedback Diversity: Enhances limited or homogeneous survey data by supplementing it with diverse social feedback.
Hypothesis Validation enriches survey insights by validating findings with actual social data, offering a deeper and more reliable understanding of customer sentiment. It provides a comprehensive view by combining structured survey responses with unstructured feedback from social channels. This holistic approach supports better decision-making by highlighting gaps or discrepancies, allowing teams to enhance strategies and refine product messaging. Additionally, it enables scalable validation by automating the comparison process, eliminating the need to source external data manually.
Prerequisites
Inorder to access Hypothesis Validation you must have View Reporting permissions at Survey Level under CFM App.
View: You can access the Survey Analytics and view existing surveys.
Note: Survey Insights generation is a pre-requisite for Hypothesis Validation.
Accessing Hypothesis Validation
Hypothesis Validation is an AI-generated summary that appears automatically under each survey question once the survey is live.
Go to Customer Feedback Management App under Sprinklr Insights and select a Survey of your choice from the survey dashboard.
Navigate to Analytics tab of that survey.
Select a specific question and go to Hypothesis Validation tab for that specific question to view the Summary.
The summary compares survey responses with social media feedback and is generated within 2 to 4 hours, depending on the environment. The system will automatically generate an AI-driven summary based on your survey question and context.
Note: Hypothesis validation refreshes every 7 days to incorporate new data. The frequency is set to 7 days since external social data is updated less frequently.
The summary will compare solicited feedback (survey responses) and unsolicited feedback (social data) using insights generated by the Research Assistant (RA).
The insights are broadly categorized under three key themes:
a) Areas of Alignment: Highlights insights where survey responses and external data are consistent.
b) Areas of Misalignment: Highlights insights where survey findings and external data contradict or diverge.
c) External-Only Insights: Presents findings derived from external data that relate to the survey question but are not addressed in the survey responses.
