What are Conversational Components?

Conversational components are special chat features that can be set up for each WhatsApp Business phone number. They act as additional tools that can be personalized for each account, enhancing user interactions. These features offer users choices during the chat, enriching the typical interactions with bots or agents.

Icebreakers

For new users, icebreakers serve as ready-made text options they can click to start the chat. These options appear in a menu above the message bar when the user begins typing. When a user selects an icebreaker, it is used as a response to drive the conversation forward.

Limitations

  • Up to 4 icebreakers are allowed for a specific WhatsApp Business phone number.

  • Each icebreaker can have a maximum of 80 characters.

  • Icebreakers only appear when the user opens a chat with you for the first time.
