Snapchat as a Benchmarking Source

Snapchat is a popular platform for short-form content, especially among younger audiences. In benchmarking, it helps brands analyze creator performance and engagement trends. However, data is only available for creators who have explicitly authorized access. Only those profiles can be tracked; others remain inaccessible.
Note: There are certain criterias for using Snapchat as a Benchmarking source
Only a limited set of creators have granted this permission.
Data availability depends on what each creator has chosen to share.
Only creator profiles that meet the required authorization criteria can be added for tracking and analysis.
If a creator has not provided the required permissions, their data will not be available for access through the platform. Creators will also have to register in order to access.
Overview of Snapchat

Source of data: Public APIs.
Coverage: We would get stories, saved stories and spotlights.
Message Type: It will be Snapchat Spotlight or a Snapchat Story.
Snapchat Story Type: It will further be divided into Saved story or Public Story.
Behaviour on the Platform: The story videos are often shown as thumbnails (preview images) in reporting or content libraries. These thumbnails serve as a visual reference for identifying specific story segments without playing the full video. The video will be available on the platform for 24hrs, post 24hrs it will appear as a thumbnail
Behaviour Natively: Natively stories are available for 24 hours or less. When the customer clicks on the thumbnail, the link will open natively.
Historical Data: Default backfill is 2 years.
Limitation: If the Snapchat profile is signed out or disconnected, Sprinklr can retain previously collected data; however, no new data will be ingested from that profile moving forward. Unless the data is actively stored, there is a risk of losing it during the disconnection period.
Prerequisities
You would need to add your Snapchat brand account. If the profile is a part of the creator profile, that can be added; if not, you won't be able to add that.
Snapchat specific data entities in benchmarking and major engagement stats
We will get the following metrics from the API:
Post Likes
Count of shares
Count of Post, Comments and X replies
Video Views( Spotlights only)
Post Total Impressions
How to add Snapchat link inside brand?
Click the New Tab icon. Under Platform Modules, click All Settings within Listen.
On the Platform Settings window, search and select Brands within Manage Customer.
Click + Add Brand in the top right corner of the Brands window.
Select Competitor in Brand Type and search for Snapchat and click next.
In the Brand Name page fill in the details of the brand and click Next.
Go to Brand Account section, select the account and add the URL and click Next.
Go to the permissions section and provide Edit and View permissions to the users, user groups, and workspace, and select the relevant Custom Properties.
Click Create.
