Discovery Runs in AI Agent

The Discover feature in AI Agent Studio helps you identify tasks when predefined workflows are not available. It analyzes historical data—such as past customer and agent conversations to detect patterns and suggest tasks that can be automated. This gives you a clear, data-driven starting point for building workflows efficiently.
Discover provides key elements that make workflow creation easier, including task names and descriptions, suggested prompts for quick configuration, and recommended tools for each discovered task. These insights allow you to streamline automation without starting from scratch.
The Discover tab in an AI Agent offers an organized view of all discovery workflows. From this tab, you can generate new tasks based on past cases and conversations and track the progress of discovery runs. Each run is recorded with a status indicator - In Progress, Failed, or Completed so you can monitor and manage them effectively.
Data Ingestion Options
You can run discovery using one of these options:
Upload File: Upload past case data using an Excel file.
Select Historical Data: Choose and filter cases directly within the platform.

Steps to Create a Discover Workflow
Create an AI Agent.
In the AI Agent Manage window, select Discover and click View.
On the Discovery Runs window, click the caret icon next to + Create Discover Workflow to expand options.
Choose one of the following:
Option 1: Select Historical Data
Enter the Discovery Run Name.
Select the Time Range.

Add Case Selection Conditions by applying filters.
Use + Add Condition to include multiple conditions.
Click Start Discovery Run button at the bottom right corner.
Option 2: Discover via Excel
Enter the Discovery Run Name.
Select the Language.

Upload the Excel file containing historical data.
Click Start Discovery Run.
After Starting the Run
The run appears in the Discovery Runs record screen with status In Progress.

You will receive a system notification when the run completes or fails.
When the status changes to Complete, click the Eye icon beside the run name to view the discovered workflow.

View Discover Results
You can view results in two modes:
Cluster View
Displays the total tasks discovered and the percentage share of top tasks.

List View
Displays task details in a record format.

To View Task Details
Switch to List View.
Click the task box or the Eye icon beside the task name.
On the task detail window, click Approve if the task fits your use case.
Approving the task opens the Task Configuration screen, where you can fine-tune and Save it.
The task is then sent to the AI Agent’s Task Record Manager (RM).

Configure Tools for Discovered Tasks
Open the Task Detail window from the Discover workflow.
Review the suggested tools for that task.
Hover over the tool name you want to configure.

Click + New Tool to open the tool configuration page.
Configure and Save the tool to use it in tasks.
