Overview

Task Sheet Governance enhances the structure and control of campaign and sub-campaign tasks by assigning visibility, ownership, and create/edit permissions to the appropriate users or user groups. This framework ensures that tasks are managed securely and efficiently, strengthening overall governance.

Understanding Permission Levels

This article outlines the permissions associated with each access level to help you understand what users can do based on their assigned roles.

Users with Task View access can:

  • View tasks in Sheet, Calendar, Timeline, and Kanban formats (within the Task tab)

  • View detailed task information

  • Access the Task Sheet tab

  • Create new views

  • Edit views they have created

  • Move tasks within the sheet

  • Add comments or notes to tasks

  • Export data

  • Copy task links

  • Use search functionality

  • Freeze columns, apply color configuration, sort, filter, group, and share views for the views they created.

Users with Task Create access can:

  • Add new tasks directly in the sheet

Users with Task Edit access can:

  • Edit unlocked tasks

  • Create or update task reminders

  • Move tasks using drag and drop

Users with Task Delete access can:

  • Delete unlocked tasks

Users with Task Admin access can:

  • Lock tasks

  • Edit locked tasks

  • Delete locked tasks

Users with Admin access can:

  • Lock and unlock views

  • Edit both locked and unlocked views

  • Delete views (locked and unlocked)

  • Share views with others

  • Manage task statuses

  • Lock and unlock columns

  • Show or hide columns

  • Add new columns

  • Edit existing columns

  • Reorder columns within the sheet

  • Import data (including task creation)

  • Add and edit task dependencies

  • Freeze columns

  • Configure color settings

  • Sort tasks

  • Apply filters

  • Group tasks by specified criteria
