Additionally, for hashtag listening
You need to enable TikTok hashtag to start fetching.

You must add the same hashtag to the topic, and then enable the topic to begin fetching results.

Let us have a look at the sections in detail:
Outbound Content
Outbound content type helps provide information about Engagement Summary, Trends of Engagement Metrics, Post Level Analysis, Hashtag Level Analysis, Top Engaged Videos, and Top Viewed Videos for your authenticated business accounts.
In the Listening Dashboard, you can go to the Standard Dashboard and then select TikTok Mentions and Hashtags to navigate to the Outbound Content section.
Filter
For all verified accounts, you can view their posts and mentions in Outbound Content. After authenticating your account, navigate to the TikTok Mentions and Hashtags Dashboard, click on account filters, and choose the authenticated account. Once you select the account, you will begin to see the corresponding data in the appropriate tab section.

@Mentions in Videos and Comments
@Video Mentions
@Video mentions refer to instances where the brand’s handle is mentioned in the caption of a video. All videos containing such mentions in their captions will be captured and surfaced as part of the data.
Post requirements:
Post visibility: The post must be public.
User age: The post cannot be made by a user who is underage or of unknown age. In Europe, users aged 17 or under are considered underage, while in the US and other regions, users aged 12 or under are considered underage.
Usernames will now be visible for @mentions in videos, replacing the earlier behaviour where users were displayed as anonymous.
Backfill: No backfill supported.
@ Mentions in Comments
It allows you to identify all instances where @mentions of your brand are present within comments.
The parent video of mentions will now be available using the Inbound Analytics data source. Let us have a look at the steps:

Access your Listening Dashboard.
In the add a widget section, select Inbound Analytics as the data source.
Select Inbound Message as a dimension and Like Count as a metric.
Apply 'Message Type' filter with value 'TikTok Mentioned Comment Video'.
In order to access the parent video link, click on the timestamp to access the video natively.

For adding account-level filters post-authentication, refer to the filters section in Outbound Content.
How to Plot TikTok Mentions in Custom Dashboards
There is another alternative method in which you can use Account-Based Listening Topics to plot the mentions and use the message type filter to display them on any of the customer widgets, allowing for customized and targeted insights.
You can refer to this article on creating an Account Based Listening Topics to set up account-based topics for your TikTok Business Account.
Once the Account-Based Listening Topics are configured, you need to apply the Message Type filter to plot video mentions in the widgets.

#Mentions Analysis
Hashtag mentions indicate occurrences where a brand's hashtag is included in a video's caption. All videos that feature these hashtag mentions in their captions will be collected and presented as part of the data. TikTok has introduced automated configuration API endpoints for brand-specific hashtags through the Mentions API. This eliminates the previous requirement for manual setup and allows for scalable implementation.
Features include:
Self-service configuration of TikTok hashtags (without manual operations).
Transparency and visibility into the status of hashtags (active, processing, locked, etc.).
Improved error handling and guidance (inline validation, limit alerts, etc.).
Enhanced operational efficiency (audit trail, CSV upload/download).
Functional Scenarios
You must possess the capability to set up and oversee brand-specific hashtags for TikTok mentions in Sprinklr, which allows for automated data collection and improved management of hashtag tracking. This encompasses:
Adding brand hashtags so Sprinklr can automatically track related TikTok mentions.
Viewing the number of configured hashtags and how many are remaining, ensuring users stay within the platform’s limits.
Checking the status of each hashtag to understand when it will begin returning data.
Removing hashtags, when eligible, such as after a defined lock period (e.g., 7 days).
Auditing hashtag activity, including visibility into which team members added or removed specific hashtags for transparency and accountability.
This capability empowers teams to maintain accurate hashtag tracking, manage limits effectively, and ensure compliance with platform rules, all while keeping collaboration auditable.
Setting Up TikTok Hashtag Mentions
TikTok Hashtags Manager can be accessed in two ways:
Through Topics
Through Listening Settings
To begin retrieving results, you must enable the TikTok hashtag, and you must include the same hashtag in the topic, which also must be enabled for fetching results. Earlier, you couldn’t manage hashtag registration directly in the Sprinklr UI; you had to register hashtags using your Business ID by reaching out to TikTok or through a closed beta in Sprinklr. Now, that capability has transitioned to the UI, giving you greater scalability and built-in support. Let us take a look at the steps:
Through Topics

Click the New Tab icon. Under Sprinklr Insights, click Topics within Listen.
On the Topics window, click + Add Topic in the top right corner. Fill in the necessary details and select Query Based Listening as Topic type. Toggle on the Fetching option in the bottom left corner. Click Next to move to the next section to set up the query.
Go to Setup Query page and select Advanced. Enter the hashtag and click View Hashtags.
In the third pane, select TikTok, and here you can see all the hashtags entered in the query. In the third pane, you will also see the status bar for TikTok Hashtags to inform you about the quota of TikTok Hashtags. Check the box to select the Hashtag to enable it, and then click Manage Hashtags to go to the Instagram Hashtags page.
Click Next, apply the desired filters, and make sure that for fetching TikTok hastag mentions, TikTok is selected as the source. Click Save Topic to save your Topic.
Activate hashtags for use while creating a topic on the fly, without needing to access the TikTok Hashtag Manager, as long as you have a quota for activation.
Through Listening Settings
Navigate to Sprinklr Insights and go to Listening Settings (under Listen).

Go to All Settings and select TikTok Hashtags.

Alternatively, you can select All Settings and under Product select Sprinklr Insights and select TikTok Hashtags.
Go to Hashtag Manager page and Click + Add Hashtag.

Fill in the details in the Add Hashtags section:

Ensure Hashtags are added in Topic Settings. On the Topics window, click Add Topic in the top right corner. Fill in the necessary details and select Query-based Listening as Topic Type. Toggle on the Fetching option in the bottom left corner. Click Next to move to the next section of the setup query.
For more details, follow the section on how to add hashtags through topics.Account: Select the account for which you want to add the hashtags.
Hashtags: Enter the hashtags. You can add 10 hashtags per request.
Click Save.
Add Hashtags and to create new hashtag click the Create check box and select Add.

Hashtag Eligibility and Recommendations for TikTok Mentions
Sprinklr employs TikTok’s Business Discovery API to showcase recommended hashtags that are relevant to the verified business account.
When you click on the "Add Hashtag" field, the API will automatically suggest hashtags that are relevant to the brand's handle, content themes, and recent activities.
These recommendations might include part of the business account name; for instance, for @appleofficial, TikTok could suggest hashtags such as appleofficial, appleevent, or iPhonelaunch.
To include hashtags that are not part of the suggested list, those custom hashtags must contain a substring of the business account's handle to be eligible for tracking under TikTok Mentions.
When adding a hashtag, you should enter only the hashtag text (without the “#” symbol) in the Add Hashtag field. Example: appleofficial, appleofficialpromo
Allowed (include handle) | Not Allowed (generic) |
appleofficialevent | iPhone |
appleofficialpromo | Macbook |
Key points to note
Currently, Sprinklr does not support syncing or re-registering hashtags that were previously registered on other platforms.
The historical data for those hashtags will still be available in reporting, but you won’t be able to re-register or manage them under TikTok Mentions.
Each business account has a cumulative limit of 50 hashtags.
This 50-hashtag limit applies only to the account, not to a specific brand. So if a brand like Apple has 3 TikTok Business Accounts, each of those accounts gets its own 50-hashtag limit.
A single API request can include up to 10 hashtags. A brand can add up to 50 hashtags per account per day.
Hashtags must include a substring of the business account's handle to be eligible.
Once a hashtag is enabled, it cannot be removed for seven days.
If a hashtag is disabled and then added again, the same process applies: it will take 24 hours to become active, and the 7-day lock-in period will restart.
TikTok currently enforces a 24-hour delay before data starts appearing for a newly enabled hashtag.
Manage Hashtags
You can visit the Manage Hashtag Page, where you can access the Hashtags. This is a centralized location for managing (adding, deleting, or modifying) all your registered hashtags. On the Hashtags account manager page, you will be able to see Total Hashtags available and Hashtags available by different accounts.

You have the option to search, refresh, export, and add new hashtags.
You have the option to navigate to different hashtags by clicking on the dropdown option:

Active
Inactive
Activating
All
You can also see the total accounts and combine hashtags available.
You also have the option to search for a hashtag by typing the hashtag in the search bar, clicking the refresh option to refresh the page, and you can even click the Export TikTok Hashtags option to export the hashtag (click Horizontal Ellipsis to access the export option).

You have the option to add new hashtag by clicking on + Add Hashtag.
You can click the Vertical Ellipsis (⋮) next to a hashtag and access the following functionalities:

Move: You can click "move" to transfer that hashtag to another Business ID and then click "move" again.
Audit: You can examine the audit trail to find out when a hashtag was altered, who performed the edit, and what changes were made.
How does it work?
Let us look at how you collect and view TikTok Hashtag Data in Sprinklr:
The TikTok hashtag information you see in Sprinklr is gathered through incremental fetching based on TikTok’s API guidelines. This process retrieves only the top 1,000 posts (ranked by likes) within a continuous 90-day period, ensuring that you always have access to the most popular and relevant content.
Incremental Data Collection
The 90-day data window advances by one day daily (e.g., on Sep 16, data covers June 18–Sep 16; on Sep 17, it covers June 19–Sep 17).
This ensures Sprinklr continuously incorporates newly available, high-performing posts without re-fetching all historical data.
As a result, data updates occur incrementally, focusing only on content that becomes eligible on that specific day.
Avoiding Duplicate Mentions
Since your fetch window spans several days, some posts may appear in multiple daily fetches; however, Sprinklr automatically removes any duplicates at the dashboard level.
When you examine the data from the past 90 days, you will observe the total number of unique mentions recorded during that time.
When you check the data for today, you will only see the unique mentions that have been newly added for that day (i.e., the incremental updates). This guarantees that metrics such as total mentions, engagement, and trend movement remain precise and free of redundancy.
Key points to note
Data for hashtags is collected through their corresponding topics in Sprinklr.
If a hashtag is registered but its Topic has not been created or is disabled, no data will be retrieved, even if that hashtag is featured in TikTok’s top 1,000 posts.
To maintain a steady flow of data, it is advisable to create and activate the Topic whenever a hashtag is registered.
Scenarios:
The hashtag is currently in use, but there are no posts listed in the top 1,000; hence, no data will be displayed.
The post was previously ranked in the top 1,000 but has since fallen out: It will no longer appear in future retrievals.
There are no new high-performing mentions today: No additional data will be included, but the current 90-day view will stay consistent.
Your TikTok hashtag data in Sprinklr operates on an incremental, rolling-window model that refreshes daily based on TikTok’s top-performing content. Duplicate mentions are automatically filtered out, ensuring that your dashboard shows only clean, unique, and continuously updated insights. This setup gives you an accurate view of TikTok trends over the past 90 days, keeping your analytics current and reliable.
