Publish Ads in Threads from Sprinklr

Meta has expanded Threads advertising to all eligible advertisers globally, allowing businesses to reach audiences in a new, conversational environment. This guide walks you through the steps to publish ads in Threads using Sprinklr's Ads Composer, including how to set up your campaign, choose the right objectives, apply targeting, manage placements, and design creatives—ensuring your ads run smoothly on the Threads feed.
Before you Begin
Make sure your Facebook ad account has been re-added in Sprinklr with new Threads permissions to publish ads on Threads.
Step 1: Select Account and Objective
Start by opening Sprinklr Marketing > Advertising > Ads Composer in a new tab.
From the Ads Composer window:
Select the Facebook account linked to the Instagram page that connects to your Threads profile.
In the Paid Initiative Details tab:
Choose a campaign objective from the supported list (see below).
Enter a name for your campaign or use a naming convention.
Select the Promoted Object (such as Website or Instagram) to define where you’ll drive engagement.

Step 2: Define Your Target Audience
In the Target Audience section:
Select an existing audience or create a new audience by clicking Create New Audience. For more details on Ads targeting fields, see Facebook and Instagram Ads Targeting — Field Descriptions.
Click Save Target Audience or use Segment & Save to create variations.
Step 3: Set Budget and Scheduling
Navigate to the Budget & Schedule tab and fill in the details in the following sections to configure your campaign budget and bidding strategy:
Enter the Budget details for Paid Initiative: Define the Margin Entry type and set a spending cap beyond which your Paid Initiative will stop running.
Enter the Budget & Schedule details for all Ad Sets: Choose your budget type and set up Daily/Lifetime budget for your ad sets.
Enter the Dynamic Creative details for all Ad Sets: Leave the Dynamic Creatives option disabled; enabling it will make Threads placement unavailable for selection.
Enter the Beneficiary Information details for all Ad Sets: Enter the Benefeciary and Payer details for your ad sets targeting audiences in the European Union, Taiwan, Singapore, or Australia. For more details, refer to Beneficiary and Payer Information for Regulated Countries.
Enter the Placements details for all Ad Sets: Configure your ad placements. To enable Threads placement -
Select Instagram Feed as a placement. This is required in order for you to select Threads feed as placement.
Then, choose:
Publisher Platform: Threads (disabled if Instagram is not selected as Platform Position)
Platform Position: Threads Feed (disabled if Threads is not selected as Platform Position)
You can also opt for Advantage+ Placements, which automatically places your ad in the highest-performing locations.
Enter the Bidding details for all Ad Sets: Set up your optimization goals, pricing strategy and delivery type in this section. Supported goals for Threads include -

Enter the Dayparting details for all Ad Sets: Set up the dayparting details, to either run ads every time or on a specific schedule.

Step 4: Create Ad Creatives
In the Creatives section, click Add another Creative to either select an existing creative or create a new one for the Threads feed.
To Use an Existing Creative -
Select the Threads profile. The profile available will be based on the selected Instagram Page.
After selecting a Threads Profile, the available creatives linked to that profile will be displayed.
Note: Threads currently supports only Image Ads.
Select the required creative and click Save in the bottom-right corner. A preview of your creative for Threads feed will be shown in the Creatives tab.
To Create a New Creative -
Click + Add New Creative in the top-right corner of the Select Creatives window.
In the Add New Creatives window, select the Facebook page linked to the Instagram page that connects to your Threads profile.
Select a Post Type—only Image Ads are currently supported for Threads. Carousel Ads, Collection Ads and Slideshow Posts are not supported for Threads.
In the Creative Details section, add your media. The recommended media specifications for Threads images will be listed here.
Fill in the creative details such as Creative Name, Web Analytics, and other required fields. For more details on Creatives fields, refer to Objective Specific Creative Fields.
Click Save to confirm your creative setup. A preview of your creative for Threads feed will be shown in the Creatives tab.
Note:
Placement Access Customization, Language and Location Customization is currently not supported for Threads.
Advantage Catalog Ads are not supported for current Threads placement.
Due to API Limitation, Comment Moderation and Boosting is currently not available for Threads.
Step 5: Add Advanced Settings and Optimize
Before publishing, you can:
Add Custom Properties and Third-Party Tracking in the Advanced Configuration tab.
Apply Strategy Groups in the Optimization tab to automate the management of budget distribution, bidding, targeting, and creatives rotation.
Step 6: Review and Publish
In the Review section, check all campaign elements, including:
Paid Initiative details
Ad set targeting
Placements
Budget and schedule
Ad creatives
Once everything is finalized, click Publish in the bottom right corner and choose one of the following options:
Publish: Launch your campaign immediately.
Publish as Paused: Publish your campaign without activating it.
Send for Approval: Submit the campaign for review.
