Instagram Tags and Collaborate

Updated

Introduction

There is a notable update to the Instagram post creation workflow. This enhancement is designed to streamline and improve your experience by making the Tag Users and Add Collaborators fields independent of each other. Now, you can add collaborators without needing to tag them.

Previously, the functionality to add collaborators was tied directly to the Tag Users field, which applied to Carousels, Reels, and Post templates. With this update, these fields operate independently, providing more flexibility and convenience for your Instagram posts.

Tagging and Collaborator Limitations

Supported Post Types: Post, Carousel, Reel

Maximum Number of Collaborators per Post: 3 (Note: Up to 5 collaborators are allowed natively, but there is an API limitation)

Maximum Number of Tags per Post: 20

Post Scenarios

The update introduces several scenarios for how your posts will be displayed based on the presence of tagged and collaborative users:

1.Only Tagged Users: Tagged users will be displayed in the specific locations where they were tagged within your post.

2.Only Collaborators: Collaborative users will be featured prominently in the center of your post.

3.Tagged and Collaborative Users: If your post includes both tagged and collaborative users, the tagged users will appear in their respective tagged positions, while collaborative users will be displayed centrally.
