Data Connector Activity Log

The Activity page in the Unified Data Connector provides a comprehensive list of all edits made to a connector after its creation. It offers detailed, record-level information on modifications and helps track the connector's configuration and execution history.

Activity Page - An Overview

This page provides detailed information about changes made at a record level, such as Name, Description, Account, Default Language, Enable/Disable, Integration Type, Entity Source, Success or failure status, Failure reason (if applicable), Created or modified entity ID (if available).

Additionally, you can also export this record for your reference.

Accessing the Activity page

  1. On the Data Connectors page, click on the three dots next to the connector.

  2. Select View Activity.

The Activity page will be displayed as shown in the following image.

UI Elements on the Activity page

The Activity page displays the connector name, the timestamp of each activity, and details of the edits made. Key UI components include:

Copies a URL link to the activity log for sharing.

Refresh

Reloads the page to show the latest logs.

Sort

Sorts the activities based on creation timestamp.

Export

Exports detailed information of connector's activity log in the form of an excelsheet.

To export, select the From and To dates, then click Export. The excelsheet will be downloaded.

Filter

Filters the activity log by time range. To filter the activity log based on time range, select the From and To dates and then click Save Filter.

You can also filter by Connector Run Type. The following options are available:

  • Manual Run

  • Scheduled Run

The activity log updates to reflect the selected run type.

Activity Log for Scheduled Run and Manual Run

For every run, elements and their values that has been ingested will get logged and will be available in an excelsheet. All the elements that are available in the ingested source file will be present in the excelsheet along with additional columns Entity ID (Success) and Error Messages (Failure).

  • For Standard and Custom Entity (File Based), the URL to download a zip file containing processed excel files is present.

  • For System Entity (Case - Zip Files/API based), the URL to download an excelfile with the report of each processed file is present.

Log Update Frequency

  • For scheduled runs, activity logs are updated every hour by default. This frequency is configurable.

  • For manual run connectors, the system logs data for every trigger instance similar to how scheduled runs are recorded.
